| dc.description.abstract | O presente trabalho tem como principal objectivo levantar as condicionantes que influenciam o trabalho dos militares devido à presença de jornalistas; procurando essencialmente descobrir os problemas e potencialidades do relacionamento destas duas distintas profissões em TO. Começamos por delimitar a nossa temática à missão do 1ºBIPara, inserido na missão da UNTAET, em Timor, no primeiro semestre de 2000. O nosso objecto de pesquisa e que constituiu a amostra do trabalho, centrou-se nas percepções dos oficiais em lugares chave e dos jornalistas que fizeram a cobertura da jornalística na data em questão. Adoptou-se uma metodologia de abordagem intensiva ao problema, lançando entrevistas para procurar perceber pontos de eventual fricção e interesses divergentes entre os grupos profissionais em estudo e a forma como ambos cumpriam a sua missão. A nossa amostra incluiu 11 militares que pertenciam ao 1ºBIPara em 2000 e que foram para Timor e 2 jornalistas que estavam em Timor nessa mesma altura. A sustentação teórica alicerça-se nas perspectivas da relação entre os media e os militares; teoria do jornalismo e ciência militar; recorrendo fundamentalmente aos trabalhos dos autores como José Rodrigues dos Santos; Deschepper; Miguel Machado, para tentar perceber as dinâmicas e interesses em confronto. Os resultados obtidos são interessantes na medida em que apontam para alguns problemas e preocupações que os jornalistas causam na Força; o que vai no mesmo sentido de estudos realizados anteriormente por outros autores, como é foi o caso do trabalho de Machado & Carvalho (2004), “Exército e a Imprensa”. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract The main propose of this investigation is to verify in which way the soldiers work is influenced by the presence of journalists. So the aim of this investigation is to discover the problems and possibilities of the relationship between these two very different jobs. We begin by defining our mission theme will be on the 1st BIPara, located on the UNTAET mission in East Timor, in the first semester of 2000. The subject of our research and which constituted the sample of work, focused on the perceptions of officials in key positions and journalists who covered the news on that date. Adopted a methodology for intensive approach to the problem, casting interviews for trying to understand the possible points of friction and divergent interests among the professional groups in both study and how they fulfilled their mission. Our sample included 11 soldiers belonging to the 1st in 2000 will beep and went to East Timor and two reporters who were in Timor at that time. The theoretical support is grounded in the perspectives of the relationship between media and the military, theory of journalism and military science, using essentially the work of authors such as José Rodrigues dos Santos, Deschepper, Miguel Machado, to try to understand the dynamics and interests in confrontation. The results are interesting in that it points to some problems and concerns that journalists have on the force, what goes in the same direction as previous studies by other authors, as was the case with the work of Machado & Carvalho (2004) "O Exército e a Imprensa”. | por |
