Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho centra-se na influência da Assembleia de Alunos na gestão democrática
da escola, dando especial enfoque à intervenção dos alunos sobre a tomada de decisões da gestão
do seu agrupamento de escolas e à percepção que estes têm sobre a sua intervenção.
O corpo teórico discute, fundamentalmente, o conceito de gestão democrática de escola.
Sendo ainda discutidos alguns eixos temáticos que colocam em prática o exercício de uma gestão
democrática envolvendo os alunos, nomeadamente os conceitos de cidadania e democracia, e ainda
de educação para a cidadania.
O estudo visa: 1) identificar a percepção dos alunos sobre o papel de um cidadão em
democracia; 2) Identificar a percepção dos alunos sobre o seu papel nas Assembleias de Alunos; 3)
Identificar a percepção dos alunos sobre o seu papel na gestão do Agrupamento; 4) Compreender se
os alunos consideram as Assembleias de Alunos como mecanismos que aumentam a sua acção sobre
a gestão do agrupamento; 5) Analisar se a percepção dos elementos das Mesas das Assembleias
quanto ao papel destas na gestão do agrupamento difere da dos restantes alunos; 6) Analisar se a
percepção dos Delegados de Turma relativamente ao papel das Assembleias de Alunos na gestão do
agrupamento difere da dos restantes alunos.
Este trabalho foi desenvolvido através de metodologia de estudo de caso, de natureza
qualitativa do tipo transversal, com recolha de dados a acontecer entre janeiro e fevereiro de 2019
por meio de inquéritos por questionários e entrevista de focus group.
Os intervenientes neste estudo (alunos) consideraram-no como uma mais-valia para a sua
escola (entenda-se agrupamento de escolas), reconhecendo o seu resultado como relevante para a
valorização do papel dos alunos na gestão da escola e assim da melhoria da mesma.
The present work focuses on the influence of the Student Assembly on the democratic management of schools, with a special focus on the students' intervention on the decision-making of the management of their school grouping and on their assumption about their intervention. The theoretical body fundamentally discusses the concept of democratic school management. Also being discussed some thematic axes that put into practice the exercise of ademocratic management with students, namely the concepts of citizenship and democracy, and also of education for citizenship. The main objectives of the study are: 1) identify students' perceptions about the role of a citizen in democracy; 2) identify students' perceptions of their role in Student Assemblies; 3) Identify students' perceptions of their role in group management; 4) Understand if students consider that Student Assemblies are mechanisms that increase their action on group management; 5) Analyze if the perception of the members of the Assembly Tables regarding their role in managing the grouping differs from that of the other students; 6) Analyze whether the perception of the Class Delegates regarding the role of the Student Assemblies in managing the grouping differs from that of the other students. Developed from a case study perspective, it was supported by a qualitative cross-sectional methodology, with data collection taking place between January and February 2019 through questionnaire surveys and focus group interviews. The participants in this study (students) considered it as an asset to their school (meaning grouping of schools), recognizing its result as relevant to the appreciation of the role of students in school management and thus the improvement of same.
