| dc.description.abstract | The stigma surrounding mental health is a significant problem, and videogames are ideally suited to address it. This thesis aims to explore how video games can help challenge negative perceptions of mental illness, it is expected that the development of this project could lead players down paths towards greater empathy and understanding in regard to mental health issues. This project will serve as an example for others who want to develop videogames related to the topic so that they as well can contribute their ideas to encourage healthy habits and personal growth among players. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | O estigma em torno da saúde mental é um problema significativo e os videogames são ideais para resolvê-lo. Esta tese pretende explorar como os videojogos podem ajudar a desafiar as perceções negativas da doença mental, espera-se que o desenvolvimento deste projeto possa conduzir os jogadores a caminhos para uma maior empatia e compreensão no que diz respeito aos problemas de saúde mental. Este projeto servirá de exemplo para outros que queiram desenvolver videogames relacionados ao tema para que também possam contribuir com suas ideias para incentivar hábitos saudáveis e crescimento pessoal entre os jogadores. | pt_PT |
