Abstract(s)
O presente Trabalho de Investigação Aplicada tem como objetivo analisar a evolução dos procedimentos do observador avançado na Artilharia de Campanha em Portugal, consoante o impacto das diferentes escolas militares. O estudo subdivide-se temporalmente em três épocas, nomeadamente: entre o terceiro período da história da Artilharia e a primeira guerra mundial; entre a primeira guerra mundial e a entrada de Portugal na Organização do Tratado do Atlântico Norte; por último, desde o fim da época anterior até à atualidade.
Para a realização deste Trabalho de Investigação Aplicada, foi utilizado o método de investigação histórico, através da análise de fontes primárias manuscritas e impressas, nacionais e internacionais diretamente relacionadas com o tema abordado, bem como revistas militares, tais como a revista de artilharia.
Os resultados evidenciaram que as principais escolas militares influenciadoras foram a escola militar francesa e a americana, sabendo que, a francesa teve um impacto nos primeiros dois períodos da investigação e a americana influenciou a partir da entrada de Portugal na Organização do Tratado do Atlântico Norte. O impacto destas escolas é considerado positivo e complementar. É notável a evolução dos procedimentos de observação avançada que iniciou a observação através da posição, de seguida, a adoção do observador avançado com o intuito de localizar, pedir e observar o tiro, e à posterior, a evolução dos procedimentos anteriores fez com que o observador avançado deixe de ter uma função passiva na regulação do tiro e passe a exercer de forma ativa na mesma.
The subject of this research is to analyze the evolution of the procedures of the advanced observer in the Field Artillery in Portugal, according to the impact of the different military schools. The study is divided into three periods, namely: between the third period of the history of Artillery and the First World War; between the First World War and Portugal's entry into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization; finally, from the end of the previous season to the present day. The historical research method was used to carry out this investigation, through the analysis of handwritten and printed primary sources, national and international directly related to the subject addressed, as well as military magazines, such as the artillery magazine. The results showed that the main influencing military schools were the French and the American military schools, knowing that the French one had an impact on the first two periods of the research and the American one influenced from the entry of Portugal into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The impact of these schools is considered positive and complementary. It is remarkable the evolution of the advanced observation procedures that started the observation through the position, then the adoption of the advanced observer to locate, request and observe the shot, and later, the evolution of the previous procedures made the advanced observer no longer have a passive function in the regulation of the shot and start to exercise actively in it.
