Abstract(s)
The present investigation emerged within the framework of the Training Course held in Supervised Practice of primary school in basic education. For its implementation, several steps were taken: observation, data collection, analysis as well as description of the data provided and, finally, intervention as far as the central question of this work was concerned– spelling, specifically the weaknesses presented by students of primary school in the application of spelling rules. In the context of the classroom, the spelling mistakes which students present have been repeated either in written productions, or in assessment tests and even copy exercises. Thus, bearing in mind that the school educational project is connected to the arts, the central aim of this study is whether, through creative writing and appealing to the creativity of students, it is possible to reduce or eliminate the misspellings. Once the school gives special importance to education from the arts, students’ creativity will be further stimulated than students of the same age group from other schools. In short, we want to understand if the creative writing will be a good strategy developed to combat misspellings, as other previously implemented strategies did not achieve any positive result.
