Desafios e dificuldades vivenciadas pelos investigadores criminais no âmbito da sua atividade de atendimento e proteção das vítimas de violência doméstica

| dc.description.abstract | Qualquer organização, quando se depara com um problema na gestão de recursos humanos, com os consequentes constrangimentos no funcionamento dos serviços, deverá tentar identificar as suas causas e possíveis soluções, privilegiando a auscultação dos seus colaboradores, envolvimento na tomada de decisões e definição de estratégias a seguir. O presente trabalho apresenta os resultados de um estudo, onde se pretendeu verificar quais as maiores dificuldades sentidas pelos polícias da Polícia de Segurança Pública que trabalham na investigação de crimes de violência doméstica e, desta forma, perceber os motivos que estão origem dos constrangimentos sentidos no recrutamento de polícias para o exercício destas tarefas e apontar eventuais soluções que permitam aumentar a atratividade das funções. Para o cumprimento desse objetivo, decidiu-se desenvolver um estudo de caso, optando-se pela metodologia quantitativa, com recurso a aplicação de um inquérito por questionário a polícias da estrutura de investigação criminal de três Comandos de Polícia. Os resultados obtidos indiciam que os principais fatores que afetam negativamente a atividade destes profissionais estão sobretudo relacionados com um deficiente recrutamento, lacunas na formação e transtornos psicológicos decorrentes do exercício destas funções. Foram ainda identificados outros problemas menos significativos, assim como boas-práticas e eventuais melhorias a implementar. | |
| dc.description.abstract | When any organization faces issues regarding human resources management, with the consequent constraints on the operation of the services, it should try to identify its causes and possible solutions, giving priority to listening to its collaborators and involving them in the decision-making process and in the definition of the organizational strategy. This work presents the results of a study, which aimed to identify the main difficulties experienced by the police officers of the Polícia de Segurança Pública investigate the domestic violence crimes and, in this way, to understand the reasons behind the constraints felt in the recruitment of policemen to perform these tasks and point out possible solutions to increase the attractiveness of the functions. To achieve this objective, we decided to develop a case study, using a quantitative methodology, with the application of a questionnaire survey to police officers of the criminal investigation structure of three Police Commands. The results obtained indicate that the main factors that negatively affect the activity of these professionals are mainly related to poor recruitment, gaps in training and psychological disorders arising from the exercise of these functions. Other less significant problems were also identified, as well as good practices and possible improvements to be implemented. | |
