Abstract(s)
O presente relatório de investigação foi realizado no âmbito do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e centra-se na temática da relação com as famílias em contexto de creche e de jardim-de-infância, mais particularmente no seu envolvimento. Este estudo descreve, analisa e interpreta as observações e intervenções feitas nos estágios realizados ao longo de dois anos letivos, baseando-se em notas de campo, fundamentos teóricos, inquéritos por questionário às educadoras e às famílias e reflexões pessoais.
Assim, o objetivo foi compreender de que forma é que a relação entre a instituição educativa e a família é valorizada e respeitada nas salas de creche e de jardim-de-infância, ou seja, compreender o lugar que as famílias ocupam, as suas formas de envolvimento nas salas e o papel que desempenham no desenvolvimento do processo educativo.
Para a realização deste estudo observei e realizei intervenções junto das equipas pedagógicas, as famílias e as crianças de quatro grupos distintos, com idades compreendidas entre os 2 meses e os 6 anos. Os dois primeiros momentos de estágio foram realizados no primeiro ano letivo do mestrado, tendo uma duração de 10 semanas cada um. Os restantes momentos de estágio foram realizados no segundo ano letivo do mestrado, tendo uma duração de 2 semanas cada um.
Este estudo, que tem por base uma metodologia de investigação qualitativa, orientada pelos princípios da investigação-ação e foi elaborado através da observação dos grupos e das famílias, dos sucessivos momentos de reflexão, das intervenções feitas e das notas de campo recolhidas nos diversos momentos de contacto com as famílias, nomeadamente nos momentos de acolhimento e de regresso às famílias e de alguns eventos especialmente pensados para as famílias. Realizei também um inquérito por questionário às educadoras e às famílias.
Ao longo do meu estudo e das experiências vividas em ambos os contextos de estágio, pude conhecer duas realidades bastante diferentes relativamente à relação e ao envolvimento das famílias, tendo compreendido a complexidade e a natureza delicada desta relação.
This research report was carried out within the scope of the Master's Degree in Pre-School Education and focuses on the relationship between families in the context of nursery and kindergarten and more particularly in their involvement. This study describes, analyzes and interprets the observations and interventions done during the two-year traineeship, based on field notes, theoretical foundations, questionnaires to educators and families, and personal reflections. Thus, the objective was to understand how the relationship between the educational institution and the family is valued and respected in nursery and kindergarten rooms, that is, to understand the place that families occupy, their forms of involvement and the role they play in the development of the educational process. In order to carry out this study, I observed and performed interventions with pedagogical teams, families and children from four different groups, ranging from 2 months to 6 years. The first two stages of internship were carried out in the first academic year of the master's degree, having a duration of 10 weeks each. The remaining stages of the internship were carried out in the second year of the master's program, lasting 2 weeks each. This study, based on a qualitative research methodology guided by the principles of action research, was elaborated through the observation of groups and families, successive moments of reflection, interventions made and field notes collected at different moments of contact with the families, especially in the moments of welcome and return to the families and of some events specially designed for the families. I also conducted a questionnaire survey of educators and families. Throughout my study and experiences in both internship contexts, I was able to know two very different realities regarding the relation and involvement of families, having understood the complexity and delicate nature of this relationship.
