Abstract(s)
Neste artigo analisaram-se alguns dos impactos do choque tecnológico na sociedade. Abordou-se a sua perspetiva mundial, o contexto europeu e o caso da sociedade portuguesa. Focámo-nos em perceber a importância da adaptação das polícias ao choque tecnológico e o estado da arte das unidades de meios técnicos da Polícia de Segurança Pública. Partindo de uma contextualização da influência da tecnologia na sociedade em geral e nas polícias em particular, salientou-se a emergência dos novos recursos tecnológicos na atividade policial. A perspetiva histórica da evolução de algumas destas unidades foi um fator de análise permanente, de forma a poder conjeturar o que poderão ser soluções futuras, ágeis e eficientes. No decurso da investigação procurou-se uma definição de meios técnicos policiais e abordou-se a perspetiva organizacional atual e futura destes serviços. Através da realização de entrevistas a especialistas em Portugal e em Espanha, colheram-se importantes contributos para perceber o panorama atual destas unidades, nomeadamente a sua evolução, capacidade de resposta, organização e reformas estruturais de que necessitam.
In this article we analyze some of the impacts of technological shock in society. Its global perspective, the European context and the case of Portuguese society were discussed. We focused on understanding the importance of police adaptation to the technological shock and state of the art, concerning technical units of the Public Security Police. Based on a contextualization of the influence of technology on society in general and on police in particular, the emergence of new technological resources in police activity was highlighted. The historical perspective of the evolution of some of these units was a factor of permanent analysis, in order to be able to conjecture what could be future solutions, agile and efficient. In the course of the investigation, a definition of police technical means was sought and the current and future organizational perspective of these services was addressed. Through interviews with experts in Portugal and Spain, important contributions were made to understand the current situation of these units, namely their evolution, capacity of response, organization and structural reforms that they need.
