A área do risco é extremamente complexa e abrangente, sendo que, de um ponto de vista da segurança, se regista um esforço constante da sua avaliação por forma a adequar as medidas implementadas na proteção de alvos específicos.
Apesar de existirem riscos naturais, que podem comprometer gravemente os sistemas, são os de origem humana, mais especificamente os de cariz comportamental, que representam um maior problema para a atuação policial, e sobre os quais nos iremos debruçar nesta investigação.
O trabalho irá estudar o metropolitano de Lisboa (na vertente security), procurando identificar as suas características e vulnerabilidades, bem como as ameaças que sobre si impendem, de forma a perceber como estas se relacionam com comportamentos de risco específicos. Irá posteriormente centrar-se em estratégias que permitam o reconhecimento de sinais indicadores destes comportamentos, para que quem está no terreno possa atuar antecipadamente e, consequentemente, impedir a concretização de ações hostis.
Risk is an extremely complex wide area in which, from a security point of view, there is a permanent effort to assess its degree, to suit the security measures in place to its requirements, in the protection of a target. Although there are plenty of natural risks, which can seriously compromise systems, the ones of human nature, most particularly the ones of the behavioral kind, are those which represent a greater problem for police action, and the ones in which our investigation is going to focus on. Our work will study the Lisbon underground transportation system (in a security perspective), and will try to identify its characteristics and vulnerabilities, along with the threats that compromise it, to understand how they relate with specific risk behaviors. Given that, it will focus on strategies to help identify signs and indicators of these behaviors, so that the people who work in the field can act in advance, thus preventing hostile actions from happening.
