Abstract(s)
El objeto de estudio de la presente tesis es la villa de
Baiona, situada en la parte meridional del Área
Metropolitana de Vigo, en la provincia de Pontevedra.
La investigación realizada se centra en la transformación
de la forma urbana de la Villa de Baiona, cuya motivación
principal para esta investigación surge del interés
histórico de Baiona, que en función de los distintos
periodos y contextos sufrió grandes cambios. La etapa de
mayor interés de análisis se corresponde con los últimos
cincuenta años (1960- 2012).
La estructura de la obra se repite en cada uno de los
capítulos, en la cual se da respuesta a los objetivos
propuestos, siendo estos: identificar los principales
factores que encuadraron el contexto político, económico y
social de cada momento, de tal forma que posteriormente se
pudiese identificar los elementos que estructuraron la
transformación del tejido urbano y los distintos
resultados en su morfología.
De esta forma se empleó, el análisis documental para
recoger la información y publicaciones literarias sobre la
villa, datos estadísticos, socioeconómicos, la observación
directa y las fotografías de autor e históricas.
Para el análisis del territorio es necesaria la
superposición de la cartografía disponible e imágenes
aéreas, de modo a interpretar el espacio urbano. Con base
a las distintas transformaciones se establecen los
periodos de análisis, en que la proliferación de las
actividades económicas y el surgimiento de nuevas
tipologías edificatorias fueron cruciales en el desarrollo
del turismo en la zona de estudio.
Como conclusión, el presente trabajo se divide en cinco
periodos, acotación cronológica que se debe al contexto
político y socioeconómico sufrido en la villa. Se realiza
el análisis de la primera mitad de siglo, es decir hasta
1960, en el que se caracteriza la morfología de la villa,
y desde 1960 hasta 2012, periodo que se divide en cuatro
etapas, en los cuales se identifican los diversos
elementos que provocaron el crecimiento y transformación
morfológica de Baiona.
Abstract: The case study chosen for this work is the town of Baiona, located in the southern part of the Metropolitan Area of Vigo, in the province of Pontevedra. The research focuses on the transformation of the urban form of the town of Baiona, whose main motivation for this study arises from the historical interest of Baiona, which suffered major changes according to the different periods and contexts. The stage of greatest interest is in which focuses the study, this being the last fifty years. The structure of the work is repeated in each of the chapters, which occurs in response to the proposed objectives, these being, identifying the main factors that framed the political, economic and social every moment, context so that later it could identify elements that structured the transformation of the urban fabric and the different results in their morphology. In this way, it was used, the analysis to collect information and publications about the village, statistical, socioeconomic data, direct observation and photographs of author literary and historical. In terms of analysis, morphological overlap of available mapping and aerial imagery has worked so that the study of urban and interpretive space can be seen in each time. Based on different suffered changes establish periods of analysis, in which the proliferation of economic activities, and the emergence of new building typologies were identified as this case is the tourism development in the area. In conclusion, this paper is divided into five periods, chronological dimension that is related to the political and socio-economic context in the village. He is the analysis of the first half of the century, until 1960, which characterized the morphology of the village, and from 1960 until 2012, period, which is divided into four stages, which identifies the various elements that caused the growth and morphological transformation of Baiona.
