Abstract(s)
O presente Trabalho de Investigação Aplicada tem como principal objectivo estudar e
analisar a evolução da formação dos Oficiais de Artilharia desde a Escola do Exército (1837) até à Academia Militar (1974).
Com este tema pretendem-se identificar e decompor as alterações ao nível das
condições de admissão, cadeiras vigentes e condições de aproveitamento e analisar as diferenças entre o número de alunos admitidos no primeiro ano das escolas e aqueles que conseguiram terminar os seus cursos. Analisando estas evoluções chegaremos à base da formação de muitas gerações de Oficiais de Artilharia o que permitirá perceber o porquê destas evoluções e, se possível, retirar algumas ilações para o futuro.
Para concretizar este objectivo, procedeu-se à análise das Ordens do Exército dos
períodos referentes a este trabalho, abordando as épocas em que a Escola de formação de Oficiais tomava diferentes designações.
Abstract The present paper has as main purpose to study the course of the formation of Artillery Officers since the creation of the Army School, in 1837, until the Military Academy in the years leading to the April’s 1974 Revolution. We will study the major changes that occurred through the years in the admission conditions, subjects taught and in fieldwork and analyze the relationship between the number of students who entered the Schools and those who completed the courses. We intend to assay these evolutions in order to discover what the basis of the formation of Artillery Officers is and if it remains unchanged over the years, trying to create a bridge to the future. To achieve this we proceeded to the analysis of the Army Orders in the periods related to this work, addressing the times when the Officer’s Training School took different names.
