| dc.description.abstract | It is intended to characterize coastal seine vessels with an active license in 2016, operating in ICES zone 9a, depending on the shape of the hull and structures on the deck, as well as on the type of equipment used for hauling and handling the seine gear on board. The grouping of vessels into typologies will depend on that characterization and on the degree of modernization of the vessels. Most vessels have a high degree of modernization of the deck, promoting the speed of fishing operations and improving the quality and safety of work on board. Currently, there are few vessels operating without a purse line reel or that do not have at least one crane to facilitate the handling of cargo and aid in fishing maneuvers, which was very infrequent to observe 15 years ago. The placement of a gantry on the stern deck, aims to facilitate maneuvers with the seine skiff and to improve the working conditions and safety of the crew, being more common in larger vessels due to the larger spaces on deck. Five typologies were identified in the current composition of the coastal seine fleet operating off the Portuguese mainland coast, each one presenting different degrees of modernization. The greater the size of the vessel, the greater will be the deck space available for the deployment of structures and fishing equipment that increase both the vessel's fishing power and the comfort and safety of the crew on board. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | Pretende-se caracterizar as embarcações costeiras de cerco com licença ativa em 2016, operando nas águas continentais Portuguesas, em função das formas do casco e das estruturas sobre o convés, bem como do tipo de equipamento utilizado para a alagem da rede e seu manuseamento a bordo. O agrupamento das embarcações em tipologias será uma função daquela caracterização e ainda do grau de modernização das embarcações. A maioria das embarcações apresenta um elevado grau de modernização do convés, promovendo a rapidez das operações de pesca e melhorando a qualidade do trabalho a bordo e a segurança da tripulação. Atualmente são poucas as embarcações que operam sem um enrolador de retenida ou que não dispõem de, pelo menos, uma grua para facilitar a movimentação de carga e/ou auxílio nas manobras de pesca, o que era muito pouco frequente observar há 15 anos atrás. A instalação de um pórtico no convés, à popa, tem como objetivo facilitar as manobras com a chalandra e melhorar as condições de trabalho e segurança da tripulação, sendo cada vez mais comum, em especial, nas embarcações de maior dimensão, dado que dispõem de maior espaço no convés. Foram identificadas 5 tipologias na composição atual da frota costeira de cerco operando na costa continental portuguesa, podendo apresentar diferentes graus de modernização. Quando maior a dimensão da embarcação, tanto maior será o espaço de convés disponível para a implantação de estruturas e equipamentos de pesca que potenciam tanto o poder de pesca da embarcação como o conforto e a segurança da tripulação a bordo. | por |
