O Ecoturismo na dinamização do Alto Minho: uma proposta de alojamento em Seixas

Sendo o Turismo um sector fundamental para o desenvolvimento económico de um
país, é pretendido através deste alojamento de Turismo em Espaço Rural, estimular o
desenvolvimento turístico da região, nomeadamente da aldeia de Seixas, combatendo
o abandono e a sazonalidade verificados nesta zona norte de Portugal.
Esta dissertação tem como principal objetivo o desenvolvimento de uma proposta de
um alojamento ecológico e sustentável como elemento dinamizador da atividade
turística, especificamente do Turismo de Natureza e do Turismo em Espaço Rural, na
freguesia de Seixas. Procurou-se analisar as potencialidades do concelho de Caminha,
para a prática turística, bem como propor medidas para a valorização do território e
justificar o potencial da criação de um alojamento nesta localidade.
Para perceber a recetividade da comunidade local para a criação deste projeto foi
realizada uma entrevista estruturada a um agente da junta de freguesia, de forma a
recolher a opinião junto de alguém com conhecimento da região em estudo, e foram
realizadas vinte entrevistas à população em geral. Com este processo foi possível
identificar as potencialidades do território no que se refere ao turismo de natureza e as
vantagens da implementação de um projeto turístico sustentável no Alto Minho, inclusive
na perspetiva da comunidade local.
Em resposta a esta análise, propõe-se o desenvolvimento de um ecoturismo, passando
pela apresentação da componente arquitetónica, instalações, identificação do público alvo, produtos e serviços a comercializar, e a comunicação mais adequada.
Fundamenta-se neste trabalho, que o Turismo de Natureza pode ser visto como uma
ferramenta para a dinamização da atividade turística e para o desenvolvimento local, da
região em estudo.
Being Tourism a key sector for the economic development of a country, it is intended through this accommodation of Tourism in Rural Area, to stimulate the tourism development of the region, namely the village of Seixas, fighting the abandonment and seasonality verified in this northern area of Portugal. This dissertation has as main goal the development of a proposal of an ecological and sustainable accommodation as a boosting element of the tourism activity, specifically of the Nature Tourism and Tourism in Rural Area, in the village of Seixas. We sought to analyze the potential of the municipality of Caminha, for tourism, as well as to propose measures for the enhancement of the territory and justify the potential of creating an accommodation in this locality. To understand the receptivity of the local community to the creation of this project, a structured interview was conducted with an agent of the parish council, in order to collect the opinion of someone with knowledge of the region under study, and twenty interviews were conducted with the general population. With this process it was possible to identify the potentialities of the territory regarding nature tourism and the advantages of implementing a sustainable tourism project in Alto Minho, including from the perspective of the local community. In response to this analysis, it is proposed the development of an ecotourism, going through the presentation of the architectural component, facilities, identification of the target audience, products and services to market, and the most appropriate communication. It is based on this work, that the Nature Tourism can be seen as a tool for the dynamization of the tourist activity and for the local development of the region in study.
