Abstract(s)
A presente investigação versa a importância do CRID – Centro de Recursos para a Inclusão Digital - para a população com Necessidades Educativas Especiais.
Podemos definir, em termos genéricos, a inclusão como um processo que procura responder às diferentes necessidades dos indivíduos, sendo para tal inegável o contributo das TIC como um instrumento facilitador e promotor da sua qualidade de vida e, em última instância, com repercussões ao nível da integração na sociedade.
Neste sentido, procurou-se compreender quais as respostas facultadas pelo centro à referida população, tendo em conta os seus recursos humanos e físicos e qual a relevância do CRID para os seus utentes.
Os objetivos da investigação concretizaram-se através da realização de questionários ao grupo de trabalho do CRID, aos técnicos e funcionários que acompanham os utentes durante a sua permanência no CRID, a par de informações recolhidas junto do próprio CRID.
Como resultado desta investigação, realçamos a importância do CRID como um precioso recurso de trabalho para pessoas com Necessidades Educativas Especiais, capaz de fomentar uma efetiva participação destas pessoas na vida da sua comunidade.
This research deals with the importance of the CRID - Resource Centre for the Information/Computing Inclusion - to the population with Special Educational Needs, by offering them a wide range of technological aids and computing resources. Inclusion as a whole is a process which aims at meeting the different needs of each individual and might be undoubtedly fostered by the ICT - Information and Computing Technology - as a facilitator and a promoter of the disabled/ disadvantaged people’s quality of life, and ultimately of their integration in society. In this sense, we tried to understand both the meaning and meaningfulness of the answers provided by the Center to this population, taking into account its human and physical resources, as well as the relevance of the CRID to its users. The research objectives were implemented both by carrying out questionnaires directed at the CRID staff - the technicians and assistants accompanying the users during their stay in the CRID – and by collecting information in the CRID itself. As a result of this investigation, we emphasize the importance of the CRID as a valuable working resource for people with Special Educational Needs, capable of promoting their effective participation in the life of the community they live in.
