Eficácia de um programa de educação em saúde para adultos portadores de hipertensão arterial

A Hipertensão e a Educação em Saúde é o tema deste estudo cujo objetivo foi, analisar a percepção de usuários sobre um Programa de Educação em Saúde para Hipertensos numa Unidade de Atenção Básica no Município de Viana - Maranhão. A metodologia para abordar o assunto foi o estudo de campo como parte da intervenção do enfermeiro, item obrigatório deste trabalho, perpassando por uma revisão de literatura, como forma primária de embasamento do estudo. A pesquisa foi realizada com 30 usuários hipertensos da Unidade de Saúde de Bacurizeiro, em Viana - Maranhão através da aplicação de um questionário estruturado cujas variáveis foram voltadas para o perfil sóciodemográfico dos usuários, dados clínicos atuais do hipertenso, conhecimento e prática dos usuários sobre o autocuidado, percepção dos usuários sobre as ações educativas de saúde, e, avaliação da própria saúde. Os resultados apontaram que o perfil sóciodemográfico de hipertensos na Unidade se assemelha a outros estudos existentes na literatura, com a maioria feminina, com idade maior que 50 anos, casada, baixa escolaridade, e baixa renda; os dados clínicos mostraram pressão arterial elevada, 73% participa do programa há dois anos, 70% admitiu ter antecedentes familiares para a hipertensão, 74% não apresentaram complicações, 66% faz uso de medicação para controle da hipertensão há mais de 10 anos todos os dias. Em relação ao conhecimento da prática do autocuidado, 50% não consome alcool nem fuma, 80% faz dieta especifica, 62% pratica atividade física, 73% consulta regularmente o médico. Em relação às atividades de educação em saúde, 80% participa das palestras e 100% avaliaram as ações como boas, 93% tem o agente de saúde como orientador sobre a doença, 60% recebe visitas no domicilio, 33% sente-se motivado para participar das ações, e 86% avaliaram a própria saúde como boa. Concluiu-se que as ações educativas de saúde da Unidade de Saúde de Bacurizeiro, Viana-MA, necessitam intensificar as ações de capacitação dos profissionais com vista a estabelecer um atendimento qualificado e vinculação aos hipertensos e/ ou diabéticos sob sua responsabilidade.

The research was carried out with 30 hypertensive users of the Bacurizeiro Health Unit, in Viana - Maranhão, through the application of a structured questionnaire whose variables were focused on the sociodemographic profile of the users, current clinical data of the hypertensive patient, self-care, users' perceptions about educational health actions, and health self-assessment. The results showed that the sociodemographic profile of hypertensive patients in the Unit is similar to other studies in the literature, such as the majority female, older than 50 years old, married, low education, and low income; clinical data showed high blood pressure, 73% participated in the program two years ago, 70% admitted to having a family history of hypertension, 74% had no complications, 66% used medication to control hypertension for more than 10 years. days. Regarding the knowledge of the practice of self-care, 50% do not consume alcohol or smoke, 80% do specific diet, 62% practice physical activity, 73% regularly consult the doctor. Regarding health education activities, 80% participate in the lectures and 100% evaluate the actions as good, 93% have the health agent as a guide on the disease, 60% receive visits at home, 33% feel motivated to participate in the actions, and 86% evaluated their own health as good. It was concluded that the educational actions of health of the Bacurizeiro Health Unit, Viana-MA, need to intensify the training actions of professionals with a view to establishing a qualified care and linkage to hypertensive and / or diabetic patients under their responsibility.
