| dc.description.abstract | Journey to the “Self” – Uma abordagem visual exploratória é uma busca pela identidade e autoconhecimento que pretende levar a noção de auto-retrato para o que de mais interior existe em mim - ao compreender o que me estrutura, completa e individualiza na minha existência singular, comparando-a com outros. Para tal, tive a necessidade de explorar a psicologia analítica de Carl Jung, introduzindo alguns conceitos importantes para o projecto, tais como a Persona, o Ego, o Self, a Shadow e o Anima e Animus, estruturas inatas e imateriais responsáveis por guiar os nossos valores, conduzindo-nos pelas diferentes fases da vida. O projecto fotográfico é impulsionado por grandes nomes do campo artístico, dos quais se destacam Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, Francis Bacon e David Hockney. Importando as suas ideias de desconstrução e relacionando-as com a percepção visual e a capacidade humana de reconhecer rostos ou identificá-los. Culminando assim, numa narrativa, uma história de autodescoberta e de proximidade com o outro, que se vai desvendando através da fragmentação das formas - desmistificando a idealização do Ser “perfeito” ao substituir pela de Ser “completo”. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Journey to the “Self” - An exploratory visual approach is a search for identity and self-knowledge that aims to take the notion of self-portrait to the innermost in me - by understanding what structures me, completes and individualizes me in my existence singular, comparing it with others. To this end, I needed to explore Carl Jung's analytical psychology, introducing some important concepts for the project, such as Persona, Ego, Self, Shadow and Anima and Animus, innate and immaterial structu-res responsible for guiding our values, leading us thro-ugh the different stages of life. The photographic project is driven by great names in the artistic field, of which Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, Francis Bacon and David Hockney stand out. Importing your ideas of deconstruction and relating them to visual perception and the human capacity to recognize faces or identify them. Thus culminating, in a narrative, a story of self-discovery and proximity to the other, which unfolds through the fragmentation of forms - demystifying the idealization of the “perfect” Being and replacing it with the “complete” Being. | pt_PT |
