Abstract(s)
As alterações nos mercados de trabalho obrigaram as empresas e os trabalhadores a readaptarem-se a novas realidades, alterando desta forma o seu modo de agir e pensar relativamente aos modelos de trabalho existentes, e ao surgimento de novos.
No presente estudo de design transversal, foram analisadas as relações entre as perceções de suporte em contexto organizacional e a motivação autónoma dos trabalhadores temporários de agência, tendo em atenção qual o contributo que a satisfação das necessidades psicológicas dos mesmos pode ter na explicação desta relação.
A amostra do presente estudo é caracterizada por ser de trabalhadores temporários de agência (n = 60), a trabalhar atualmente em Portugal. Sendo que através dos resultados obtidos foi possível verificar, que ao contrário do esperado, a perceção de suporte mais valorizada por estes é a perceção de suporte da empresa utilizadora de trabalho temporário ao invés da perceção de suporte da empresa de trabalho temporário, com a qual possuem um vínculo contratual.
As restantes hipóteses do estudo foram suportadas pelos dados obtidos, contribuindo para a literatura existente, verificando-se uma relação positiva entre a perceção de suporte organizacional da EUTT e a motivação autónoma, enquanto foi possível verificar que as necessidades psicológicas são uma variável mediadora e contribuem em parte para explicar a relação entre a perceção de suporte da EUTT e a motivação autónoma dos trabalhadores temporários de agência.
The changes in labor markets forced companies and workers to adapt to new realities, changing their way of acting and thinking about the existing work models and of the emergence of the new ones. In the present cross-sectional design study, the relationships between the supportive perceptions in an organizational context and the autonomous motivation of agency temporary workers were analyzed, taking into account the contribution that the satisfaction of the psychological needs can have in explaining this relationship. The sample of the present study is characterized by temporary agency workers (n = 60), currently working in Portugal. Being that through the obtained results it was possible to verify that, contrary to the expected, the perception of support most valued by these is the perception of support of the company that uses temporary work instead of the perception of support of the company of temporary work, with which have a contractual link. The remaining hypotheses of the study were supported by the data obtained, contributing to the existing literature, showing a positive relationship between the perception of organizational support of the EUTT and the autonomous motivation, while it was possible to verify that the psychological needs are a mediating variable and contribute in part to explain the relationship between EUTT support perception and the autonomous motivation of temporary agency workers.
