Abstract(s)
A investigação
do tecido urbano.
Seguidamente, realizase
variações socioeconómicas implicaram morfologicamente fenómenos importantes: a
Abstract: The village of Apulia is located on the ancient maritime platform of the Minho seacoast and was the case study elected to the realization of this Dissertation. The investigation focuses on the research of morphological alterations that occurred during the second half of the 20th century. The problem arises from the realization of different morphological paradigms reflected in the village, including reconfigurations resulting from factors of social, economic and political nature where different realities emerge and consequential modifications of the urban fabric. The main subject throughout this Dissertation is the morphological transformations identified in a diachronic reading of the urban form of the village. The objectives relate to the determination of the various factors and elements that led to the transformation process of the seafront, which subsequently, in a reading space, it is possible to identify the elements that encouraged modifications of the urban form and consistent morphological results from the village in the second half of the 20th century. The methodology is based on interpretation of data drawn and written by crossing and overlapping them in the first phases. Dealing with the political, economic, social context and physical characterization of the parish. Then, there is the morphological analysis of the specified period, in a physical and interpretive reading of the decomposition of urban form. This is based on documentary analysis, provided by facts collected from public bodies and from exploratory interviews contained in official documents, cartography, literary publications, photographs as well as some elements of direct observation. The morphological analysis rests on the overlay of graphics and the aims diachronic and interpretive reading of the urban space of Apulia. The village suffered modifications in the second half of the 20th century, which was reflected in the landscape and structure of the urban fabric. The changes resulted from the socioeconomic variations are the aftermath of a morphologically important phenomenon: the proliferation of new types of activities, especially those in the tourism sector with the growing demand for beaches. Integrated reading, analysis and demonstration of the morphological transformations of the village of Apulia, have provided an understanding of the dynamic morphological processesand identifying the elements that have structured the urban form of the cluster on the coastline.
