Abstract(s)
The main purpose of the criminal investigation is the unceasing search for the discovery of material and effective truth, since much more than knowing the facts that have occurred must be duly proven and substantiated. The crime scene provides us with all the evidence that will allow us to apply Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure, but for all this to be possible it is of the utmost importance that the procedures aimed at preserving and isolating the crime scene are immediately adopted by the first actors in the management of the crime scene. This guarantees the inalterability of the evidence that will determine the responsibility of each intervener in the criminal offense. However, OPCs should have a basic understanding of the procedures that should be applied at the scene of the crime scene in order to contaminate, thus hindering further investigation. Therefore, isolation, preservation and collection of evidence can only be made possible, as they were produced through the use of appropriate procedures by the first elements arriving at the scene of the crime.
