O presente trabalho encontra-se subordinado ao tema “Fundamentalismo e os seus
Impactos na Segurança Interna”. Visto o tema ser demasiado abrangente, a abordagem
ao trabalho terá como foco a integração dos imigrantes turcos em Portugal.
Pelo exposto, o trabalho tem por objectivo verificar se os imigrantes turcos se encontram integrados em Portugal, se sentem constrangimentos ou se são alvo de algum tipo de discriminação. Há também a necessidade de analisar a evolução da imigração turca, traçando o seu perfil e procurar saber em que áreas se encontram a desenvolver as suas actividades laborais.
Para isto, foi utilizada uma metodologia baseada em análise documental e estatística, bem como entrevistas a responsáveis de organismos ligados aos imigrantes turcos.
Foi verificado que estes imigrantes se encontram integrados na sociedade
portuguesa, falam e escrevem em português. Não revelam ser alvo de qualquer tipo de
discriminação. Verificou-se que estes imigrantes se localizam preferencialmente nas zonas metropolitanas de Lisboa e Porto.
Abstract The present investigation is on the theme "Fundamentalism and its Impacts on Internal Security"; since it is a theme too broad, this work focuses on a study on the integration of Turkish immigrants in Portugal. With this the investigation aims to verify whether the Turkish immigrants are integrated into Portugal, are constraints or suffer some kind of discrimination. Also the objective of the study is to analyze the evolution of Turkish immigration, plotting its profile and know in what areas they are employed. To do this, it was used a methodology based on documentary and statistical analysis, as well as interviews with responsible bodies linked to Turkish immigrants. It was verified that these immigrants are integrated into the Portuguese society, speak and write in Portuguese. It was not reveal be the target of any type of discrimination. It was found that these immigrants are located preferentially in the metropolitan areas of Lisbon and Porto.
