Abstract(s)
A Pessoa é um ser social inserido em grupos, sendo o primeiro e nuclear, a
família. Um evento crítico afeta a família da pessoa em situação crítica por constituir
uma fonte de ansiedade, stress e medo. Ao enfermeiro compete a prestação de
cuidados à pessoa e família, numa visão holística e humanizada tendo presente que
a pessoa influência e é influenciada pela sua família. A Lei 33/2009 representa a
normativa jurídica que contempla a presença constante do familiar ou pessoa
significativa junto da pessoa em situação crítica assistida no serviço de urgência.
Perante esta realidade, urge a necessidade de envolver este familiar no plano
terapêutico da pessoa em situação crítica, promovendo a sua participação nos
cuidados e disponibilizando a informação essencial para diminuir a ansiedade e stress
vivenciados pelo processo de doença. Esta temática constituiu a matriz para o
percurso de aquisição e desenvolvimento de competências, baseado no modelo de
Dreyfus adaptado à Enfermagem por Patrícia Benner cujo objetivo é alcançar o nível
de perito no qual a competência transforma-se fruto da experiência e do domínio. Para
tal, foi desenvolvido estágio em contexto de unidade de cuidados intensivos e serviço
de urgência, estabelecidos objetivos específicos e realizadas atividades sustentadas
nos objetivos do curso de mestrado em enfermagem na área de especialização

A critical event affects the family of the person in critical condition as it is a source of anxiety, stress and fear. The nurse is responsible for providing care to the person and family, in a holistic and humanized view considering that the person influences and is influenced by his family. Law no. 33/2009 represents the legal norm that contemplates the constant presence of the relative or significant person with the person in critical situation assisted in the emergency service. Upon this reality, there is an urgent need to involve this family member in the therapeutic plan of the person in critical condition, promoting their participation in care and providing essential information to reduce the anxiety and stress experienced by the disease process. This subject constituted the matrix for the path of acquisition and development of competences based on the Dreyfus model adapted to Nursing by Patrícia Benner, whose objective is to reach an expert level as a result of experience and mastery. To this end, an internship was developed in the context of the intensive care unit and the emergency service, specific goals were set and activities were carried based on the objectives of the Master’s degree in Nursing, specialized in patients in critical condition
