| dc.description.abstract | O presente trabalho pretende identificar as principais inovações introduzidas nas pontarias das bocas de fogo da Artilharia de Campanha em Portugal, desde a sua primeira utilização, por volta do século XIV, até à atualidade. Os notáveis aperfeiçoamentos registados na Artilharia permitiram que esta alcançasse um papel fundamental na I Guerra Mundial (1914-1918), com atuações de elevada precisão e poder destrutivo característicos desta arma. Tudo o que se relacionasse com a Artilharia foi aperfeiçoado a partir daí, estimulado pelos vários ensinamentos retirados da sua atuação. Com a entrada de Portugal na NATO no ano de 1949 registou-se uma mudança de doutrina que se conservou até aos dias de hoje. Este estudo permite perceber as principais inovações técnicas na Artilharia no que se refere aos métodos de apontar as bocas de fogo para o objetivo, abordando não só as evoluções físicas verificadas nas bocas de fogo, ou seja, abordando os mecanismos e aparelhos que permitiam movimentar o plano de tiro das bocas de fogo e direcioná-lo para os objetivos, como também a evolução técnica das pontarias, com o estudo comparativo dos métodos de pontaria de forma cronológica. Permite perceber quais as principais limitações das épocas em estudo, bem como abordar os conceitos com influência nas pontarias e que se mantiveram até aos dias de hoje. A temática foi abordada segundo o método de investigação histórica, analisando as inovações verificadas cronologicamente e utilizámos o método comparativo para analisar as principais alterações e quais as suas vantagens. Concluímos que todos os aperfeiçoamentos verificados tiveram sempre como preceito base o aumento da precisão e afirmação do papel da Artilharia nas várias campanhas em que esteve inserida. Ao relacionar a evolução dos mecanismos com a evolução dos métodos, é possível avaliar os efeitos produzidos nos objetivos, que permitiram afirmar o papel imprescindível desta arma em apoio da manobra. Concluímos assim que hoje em dia é possível bater o objetivo com uma precisão muito superior em comparação com as atuações nas campanhas transatas, servindo estas como um motor evolutivo. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | vii ABSTRACT The present work intends to identify the main innovations introduced in the laying of the artillery field guns of the Field Artillery in Portugal, from it´s first use, around the XIV century, until the present time. The remarkable improvements in Artillery allowed it to play a key role in World War I (1914-1918), with high accuracy and destructive power characteristic of this weapon. Everything that related to the Artillery was perfected from there, stimulated by the several lessons learned from it´s use. With the entry of Portugal into NATO, in the year of 1949 a change of doctrine was noticed that has survived until the present day. This study allows us to understand the main technical innovations in Artillery regarding the methods of laying the artillery field guns towards the objective, addressing not only the physical evolution verified in the artillery field guns, that is, approaching the mechanisms and apparatus that allowed to move the a plan of firing the artillery field guns and directing it towards the objectives, as well as the technical evolution of the laying, with the comparative study of the methods of laying of chronological form. It allows us to perceive the main limitations of the epochs in study, as well as to approach the concepts with influence in the laying and that have remained until the present day. The thematic was approached according to the historical research method, analyzing the innovations verified chronologically and we used the comparative method to analyze the main changes and their advantages. We conclude that all improvements have always had as a basis the increasing precision and affirmation of the role of Artillery in the various campaigns in which it was inserted. By relating the evolution of the mechanisms with the evolution of the methods, it is possible to evaluate the effects produced in the objectives, which allowed to affirm the indispensable role of this weapon in support of the maneuver. We conclude that nowadays it is possible to beat the goal with a much higher precision compared to the performances in the campaigns, serving as an evolutionary engine. | pt_PT |
