Abstract(s)
Startup acquisitions are becoming increasingly common and, along with new opportunities, bring challenges in uniting cultures and keeping teams engaged. This study sought to understand the main cultural obstacles in this process and to suggest ways to make integration smoother and more collaborative. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining the Focus assessment (Neves, 2000) with interviews with CEOs and HR leaders, bringing together data and human insights. The results revealed significant differences in values and practices, highlighting that communication and alignment are crucial for successful integration. We conclude that cultural integration is an ongoing process that requires listening and careful planning to build a healthy and cohesive organizational ecosystem.
