Um dos métodos de contribuição para a diminuição dos efeitos nocivos desta enorme exploração
passa por interligar o meio urbano com meio ambiente. A construção de coberturas verdes pode trazer
benefícios que deverão ser explorados por forma a melhorar as condições atuais. As coberturas verdes
são um bom elemento construtivo para promover a diminuição do pico de cheia, os efeitos de ilha de
calor, diminuição do teor de CO2 no planeta e a regeneração de habitats naturais, entre outros.
Deste modo torna-se necessário avaliar a normalização deste género de cobertura e verificar
quais as condições necessárias para se poder afirmar que a elas terão a qualidade desejada, bem
como o desempenho técnico pretendido para o tipo de edifício que se projetam (novos ou reabilitados).
Este trabalho tem como o objetivo a avaliação do desempenho dos diferentes produtos adotados em
coberturas verdes através do confronto entre as exigências dos principais guias técnicos e normas
internacionais, FLL e NTJ e as características dos produtos disponíveis no mercado.
Com base num levantamento de mercado, pretendeu-se identificar quais os pontos mais
criteriosos que se deverá ter em atenção a quando da seleção de um produto do sistema multicamada
de uma cobertura verde.
Através da realização de um caso de estudo foi possível verificar a importância da certificação
bem como a aplicação dos guias técnicos e normas em vigor. Foi realizado uma análise de mercado
por parte da fiscalização de obra por forma a obter a melhor proposta e os melhores requisitos a nível
dos materiais a aplicar na obra.
The necessity to guaranty the sustainability of the planet represents, nowadays, a big concern for all. Over the last years, the number of studies about sustainability has increased. Since June of 1972, where the first conference about environmental sustainability took place, a number of measures and sanctions where implemented on different countries. The massive exploration of resources and the poor regeneration of them, brought the necessity to take extra measures. One of the contributions of the methods to reduce the harmful effects of this enormous exploration, is to link the urban environmental to the environment. The construction of green roofs can provide benefits that should be explored in order to improve current conditions. The green roofs are a good constructive element to promote the reduction of both flood peak and the effect of heat island, to reduce the CO2 levels on the planet and to regenerated natural habitats, among others. By saying that, it is necessary to evaluate the standardization of this kind of roofs and verify the necessary conditions to be able to say that the roof will have the quality and the technical performance required for the building in question (new or rehabilitated). The aim of this work is to evaluate the performance of different products adopted in green roofs, confronting the requirements of major international standards, FLL and its variants, with the characteristics of the products available on the market. The case of study, it was possible to verify the importance of the certification as well as the application of the technical guides and norm. A market analysis was carried out by the construction supervisor, in order to take the best proposal and the best material requirements to be applied to the building.
