Com base na literatura existente, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo realizar uma revisão bibliográfica acerca do tema “A Relação entre a Depressão e Periodontite”.
O estudo de revisão bibliográfica tem como objetivo melhorar o conhecimento sobre a temática percebendo a existência ou não de relação entre as patologias.
A presente revisão bibliográfica desenvolveu-se por meio de pesquisa realizada através das bases de dados PubMed, Medical Science e b-on, Google Académico e Scielo. Na procura nas bases de dados indicadas recorreu-se às seguintes palavras-chave:
“Depression”, “Periodontitis”, “Depression and Periodontitis”, “Stress and Periodontitis”.
Usando as palavras-chave foi feita uma análise da literatura entre o ano de 1978
e o ano 2019, fazendo uma primeira fasea leitura dostítulos e abstract relacionados com
o tema. Se estivessem relacionados com o tema seriam incluídos na presente tese.
Based on a literature review, the present study aims to analyze references according to the theme chosen "The Relation between Depression and Periodontitis". The objective of the literature review study is to improve knowledge about the subject by perceiving the existence or not of a relationship between these pathologies. The present literature review was developed through a survey conducted through the PubMed, Medical Science and b-on, Google Academic and Scielo data bases. The following descriptors were searched for in the databases: "Depression", "Periodontitis", "Depression AND Periodontitis". Using these key-words, it was done a review of the literature since the year 1978 until the year 2019, the search performed first the titles and abstracts related to the topic. If they were related with theme, the articles were included in this Review.
