Abstract(s)
Acute pain in the victim of trauma is one of the main causes of admission to national emergency services. The perpetuation of acute pain in the victim of trauma reflects the physical, psycho-spiritual, sociocultural and environmental impact, with deterioration of the outcome of the person in a critical situation (Kolcaba, 2003). This internship report has as general objective to develop specialized nursing skills in the management of acute pain of the victim of trauma. Given the general objective, the report follows a logical-reflexive structure supported by the theoretical model of Kolcaba (2003) - The Theory of comfort and the model of competence acquisition of Dreyfus adapted by Benner (2005). Whitin the organization and methodology, it makes irrevocable the analysis and reflection of a unique path of acquisition and development of skills leading to obtaining the master's degree. The methodological support provided by the Integrative Review of the Literature, the following specific objectives: to Consolidate the skills of the nurse in the delivery of care to the person in a critical situation, the victim of the trauma, and/or the risk of organ failure, and families; Develop the skills of the nurse in the care of the person in a critical situation, the victim of the trauma and/or organ failure with acute pain in the intensive care unit and emergency department, to contribute to the development of the continuing education of nurses in the management of acute pain in the person of a victim of trauma. The results identify pharmacological and non-pharmacological nursing interventions that promote acute pain management, comfort and well-being of the person of a victim of trauma in a critical situation.
