Abstract(s)
A análise custo-benefício
With the growth of the global air cargo transportation business, the number of operators in this market has also increased. Passenger airlines are the main players entering this market by increasingly utilizing cargo aircraft to complement the cargo already transported in the holds of their passenger planes. When it comes to integrating a cargo aircraft into their fleet, these airlines have various options available, some more expensive than others. Aircraft conversion has been one of the most accepted proposals in the market because it offers lower entry costs. Costbenefit analysis confirms this, especially when compared to the alternative of purchasing a new aircraft from the manufacturer. It's also evident that this type of operation is more beneficial in the short and medium-haul aircraft segment due to lower conversion, operation, and maintenance costs compared to long-haul aircraft. Associated with airframe conversion, there has also been an increase in the market value of the aircraft, even if it has a more advanced age, due to the shortage of cargo aircraft in the market and high demand for them.
