Abstract(s)
pós-traumáticos”; “controle de crise”; “desastres”; “psicologia”; “Situações de crise”;
Air accidents are catastrophic events that cause serious imbalances in the psychological and social spheres of victims and their families. Immediately after notification of the event to aviation and competent authorities, the different forms of emergency response are assigned. Among the responses, psychological and psychosocial care for victims and their families proved to be a fundamental approach to mitigating future traumas, such as post-traumatic stress disorder. This work has the objective of evaluating the form of humanitarian action of aviation in the different forms of emergency response, focusing on the psychological and psychosocial scope, and promoting analysis of aviation responsibility in the damages of victims. Therefore, this present study is an analytical evaluation of a review of literature data and cases of air accidents. The bibliographic survey was carried out on base books that support the characterization of pathologies related to disasters and post trauma; scientific articles in Portuguese, English or Spanish published in the last twenty years in PubMed, Scielo, LILACS and Google databases; and regulations, standards and protocols of the companies available in digital media. The following combinations of words were used for research: “post-traumatic symptoms”; “crisis control”; “disasters”; "psychology"; “Crisis situations”; “emergency situations”; “psychosocial intervention” correlated with “air accident” and “aeronautical accident”. The criteria for choosing the cases to illustrate this volume were the registration of fatal victims from the aircraft and also from the ground. Two cases of accidents were chosen, which, in their analysis, showed a situation of vulnerability to care due to the absence of prior planning of measures and responses to accidents. It is concluded that aviation provides psychological and psychosocial support in the case of air disasters, being a procedure of greater responsibility of aviation and it should prioritize humanized care by qualified professionals. There is a need to promote care in an effective and immediate way, and the reception necessary to assist the individual in the condition of emotional fragility after the accident.
