Abstract(s)
O estudo das relações custo – benefício são em qualquer área, a melhor forma de se
efectuar uma boa gestão e rentabilização da actividade desenvolvida, este tema surge na
Cinotecnia como uma necessidade de controlar os custos tendo em conta os benefícios
que apresentam, ou por outro lado aumentar os benefícios rentabilizando os custos da
melhor forma.
Para a realização do referido estudo foram recolhidos e analisados dados reais e actuais acerca dos gastos directos dispendidos pela Guarda Nacional Republicana com os binómios bem como os benefícios imediatos desses gastos, isto é, a actuação dos binómios no terreno. Para além da referida recolha foram ainda aplicados questionários e realizadas entrevistas a comandantes de Grupos Territoriais e Fiscais distribuídos por todo o Território Nacional bem como ao comandante da Companhia Cinotécnica, obtendo-se deste modo a opinião de quem está no terreno e lida diariamente com esta
realidade.
Após a análise dos dados recolhidos através da metodologia exposta, concluiu-se que,
caso se melhorem as condições verificadas no terreno os custos podem ser mais rentabilizados, sendo que, com os mesmos gastos, em outras circunstâncias, os benefícios poderiam ser mais elevados. No entanto, e tendo em consideração as condições ao nível territorial a que a Cinotecnia está sujeita, os custos são justificados pelos benefícios que apresentam, confirmando-se, assim a primeira hipótese delineada para a resposta à questão de partida que se colocou, ou seja, “Serão os benefícios da actividade cinotécnica justificativos dos custos que acarretam?”
Abstract No matter which is the area, the study of the cost-benefit relations is the best way to achieve a good management and profitability of the developed activity. This subject emerges in canine police/military training as a need to control the costs considering the benefits they bring, or saying it in another way, increase the benefits by maximizing the profitability of the costs. To the realization of the referred study, some realand actual data concerning direct costs of the Guarda Nacional Republicana and its immediate benefits with man/dog interface in field, were compiled. In addition to this compilation, some inquiries and interviews were made to commanders of Territorial and Fiscal Groupsfrom all national territory, and also to the commander of GNR’s Canine Training Company. This way, it was taken the opinion from those who work in field and whom deal every day with the reality. After the analysis of the compiled data using the exposed methodology, the conclusion is that, if the verified conditions in field get better the cost will bring more profits. This means that with the same costs, in other circumstances, benefits could be higher. Yet, considering the conditions to which canine police/military training is subjected in our territory, the costs are justified by the benefits that they bring. Like this, it is confirmed the first hypothesis delineated as an answer to the initial question: “Do the benefits of canine police/military training activity justify the coststhat it involves?”
