| dc.description.abstract | Resumo: Estudos têm demonstrado que o bullying no trabalho conduz a graves consequências para as pessoas envolvidas e para a sociedade. Um dos contextos onde tem sido estudado é o dos enfermeiros. Descrever a perceção de bullying no trabalho e os atos de bullying identificados por enfermeiros, foram objetivos deste estudo. A amostragem por redes foi o método de seleção dos participantes, aos quais realizamos entrevistas semiestruturadas, num total de 12 participantes (com 10 ou mais anos de serviço). Os participantes não referem duas das principais características do bullying, a frequência e a duração dos comportamentos agressivos. Enquanto vítimas, os enfermeiros identificaram como atos de bullying: integração dificultadora, comunicação hostil, impedir a pessoa de se expressar, críticas à personalidade, críticas sobre o trabalho e ser alvo de gozo e ironia. Integração dificultadora, reações hostis e impedir a pessoa de se expressar foram os atos de bullying identificados pelas testemunhas. A integração pode ser um momento de sofrimento não apenas para os recém-formados, como também para enfermeiros com mais tempo de atividade profissional. O desenvolvimento de estratégias de integração aos serviços torna-se fundamental para a promoção de saúde destes profissionais no local de trabalho e segurança dos cuidados prestados. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract: Studies have shown that bullying at work leads to serious consequences for the individuals involved and to society. One of the contexts where it has been studied is that of nurses. Describing the perception of bullying at work and the acts of bullying identified by nurses, were the aims of this study. The network sampling was the selection method of participants to whom we conducted semi-structured interviews, a total of 12 participants (with 10 or more years of experience). Participants do not mention two main features of bullying, the frequency and duration of aggressive behaviour. As victims, the nurses identified as acts of bullying: a difficult integration, hostile communication, prevent the individuals from expressing themselves; personal criticism; criticism of the work and being the target of joke and irony. A difficult integration, hostile reactions and prevent the individuals from expressing themselves were the acts of bullying identified by witnesses. Integration can be a period of suffering not just for recent graduates, but also for nurses with more working experience. The development of integration strategies to services becomes fundamental to the promotion of health of these nursing care professionals in the workplace and to the safety of healthcare provision. | pt_PT |
