Abstract(s)
elementos do problema através da revisão da literatura e da realização de entrevistas;
The increasing difficulty displaced higher education students have in obtaining accommodation has a major impact on their well-being and mental health. However, this problem goes beyond the student's individual sphere and is one of the factors threatening the take-up of places in higher education, leading to an increase in drop-out rates and, consequently, a reduction in university funding. One of the ways to improve the sometimes precarious conditions that university students are subjected to in order to study in Lisbon is to increase the supply, improve the publicity associated with the existing accommodation options for displaced students and the existing financing conditions to support them. This work proposes the creation of an online platform, focusing exclusively on accommodation for displaced higher education students, which centralizes information from various sources. With an approach that directs the tool towards the target audience, the aim is for displaced students to be able to find all the necessary information in an intuitive way, so that they can remotely access the support they may be entitled to, the accommodation options available and ultimately be able to apply for and confirm a reservation in a university accommodation option. To ensure that the platform would meet the real needs of these students, an empathetic methodology was used in the design and development of the project, focused on the motivations, desires and limitations of these students, and the process was carried out in different stages aimed at getting to know the user, understanding their context and all the elements of the problem through a literature review and interviews; clearly identifying the problem and interpreting the data obtained in order to find the best solution; transforming the idea into a real solution to the problem presented by creating a prototype; carrying out usability tests in order to gauge the acceptance of the proposed solution among the target audience and making improvements and adjustments to the proposed solution based on the results obtained in the testing phase.
