Abstract(s)
O presente relatório aborda os hábitos alimentares seguros e saudáveis no primeiro
This report addresses safe and healthy eating habits during the first year of life as determinants for growth, development, and future health. It highlights the role of the Specialist Nurse in Child and Pediatric Health Nursing in supporting and accompanying the infant and family in the establishment of safe and healthy eating habits. Grounded in Afaf Meleis’ Transitions Theory and Nola Pender’s Health Promotion Model, the intervention valued a family-centered approach, recognizing the family as an active partner in care. The objective of this report was to develop specialized and master’s-level competencies in Child and Pediatric Health Nursing for the promotion of safe and healthy eating habits during the first year of life. To achieve this objective, a literature review was carried out in scientific databases and grey literature throughout the process, which provided theoretical robustness to the theme. The results showed that specialized practice plays a decisive role in parental empowerment through health promotion, health education, and family empowerment. Interventions related to breastfeeding, complementary feeding introduction, accident prevention, and the adaptation of practices to the family context were emphasized, both within Primary Health Care and Specialized Care. The educational trajectory allowed the consolidation of specialized and master’slevel competencies by integrating theoretical frameworks and current scientific evidence, with relevance to care practice, continuous education, and enabling the continuity of research pathways.
