subsistema conjugal, o subsistema parental.
Abstract This current work entitled “Forças Nacionais Destacadas: A Reintegração PósMissão dos Militares” is a descriptive, exploratory study aimed at military families. It’s intent is to highlight the challenges and changes that occur in the nuclear family system as a result of the participation in an international military mission, during the postdeployment phase, in which we analyzed the strategies and difficulties of the families, the marital subsystem, the parental subsystem. The study included a sample of eight soldiers who at the time of the deployment were married or were living together with the partner, and were parents of at least one child. We used a qualitative approach by conducting in-person interviews with subsequente analysis of the content through an abductive process, using the software QSR NVivo 10. The results that stand out in terms of strategies and family difficulties, are the need of the soldier to compensate family due to the period separated, looking as soon as possible to assume their role in the family system, where the main difficulties encountered are related to the extent of the deployment and the eventual existence of any traumatic episode. Regarding the marital subsystem, we emphasize the momentary rise of intimacy and affection needs of the couple at the time of the meeting and the reduction of conflicts during this period. In the parental subsystem it appears that the age of the children is na important factor in the way the soldier experiences the post-deployment phase. Noteworthy is the fact that this study is limited in regards to the generalization to all military personnel that is deployed, however, it brings to light what the post-deployment period represents to the families.
