O presente Relatório Científico Final do Trabalho de Investigação Aplicada incide
sobre “O Curso de Operações Especiais: Valores Motivacionais para o Voluntariado” e tem
como objetivo geral identificar e descrever os valores motivacionais que levam os militares
do Exército e da Guarda Nacional Republicana a voluntariarem-se para o Curso de
Operações Especiais. Mais especificamente, procura-se classificar o nível de conhecimento
dos militares sobre o Curso de Operações Especiais, identificar a perceção dos militares
das diferentes classes e dos militares em formação do Exército e da Guarda Nacional
Republicana quanto à satisfação que o Centro de Tropas de Operações Especiais
proporciona a cada um dos valores motivacionais.
Este estudo foi elaborado em duas partes distintas, uma teórica e outra prática. A
parte teórica, numa primeira fase incidiu sobre uma pesquisa bibliográfica e análise
documental, complementando com a realização de entrevistas exploratórias a
individualidades com elevado conhecimento sobre as Forças de Operações Especiais, de
forma a identificar os valores motivacionais mais pertinentes para esta investigação. Já
com bases teóricas suficientes para iniciar o trabalho de campo, seguiu-se a elaboração de
um inquérito sob a forma de questionário, aplicado a diferentes militares do Regimento de
Infantaria N.º 15, do 1º Batalhão de Infantaria Mecanizado, do Centro de Tropas de
Operações Especiais, bem como a militares em formação do Exército e da Guarda
Nacional Republicana em frequência na Academia Militar.
Esta investigação permitiu concluir que o Centro de Tropas de Operações Especiais
deverá dedicar-se mais à divulgação das tarefas e missões das Forças de Operações
Especiais, uma vez que, embora o Curso de Operações Especiais tenha bastante afluência,
o conhecimento dos militares acerca desta força é muito limitado. De uma forma geral,
concluiu-se que o Centro de Tropas de Operações Especiais, satisfaz os f atores
motivacionais intrínsecos e extrínsecos dos militares das diferentes categorias da
hierarquia militar e dos militares em formação do Exército e da Guarda Nacional
Republicana.
Abstract This given Final Scientific Report of the Essay on Applied Research is focused on “The Special Operations Course: Motivational Values for the Volunteering” its objective is to identify and describe the motivational value that lead the military men of the National Army and Guarda Nacional Republicana enrolling in the Special Operations Course. More specifically, identify the perception of the military men of different ranks as well as for the training Officers on the National Army and Guarda Nacional Republicana given the satisfaction that the Center for the Special Operations Troops nurtures for any of the motivational values. This study was drawn in two different parts, a theoretical and a practical one. In the theoretical, on an early stage a bibliographic research and document analysis was made, enriched with interviews conducted on high profile personalities of the Special Operations Armed Forces, in order to identify the most important motivational values for this research. With enough theoretical data achieved to start the field work, an enquire was made to the 15th Infantry Regiment, the 1st Battalion of Mechanized Infantry, the Center for the Special Operations Troops as well as training Officers of the National Army and Guarda Nacional Republicana in the Military Academy. This investigation as led to the conclusion the Center for the Special Operations Troops should invest in disclosing the tasks and missions of the Special Operations Forces, given that in spite of this specific course having a great enrollment ratio, the knowledge of the military men on this giver course is scarce. On an overall perspective, the Center for the Special Operations Troops pleases the intrinsic and extrinsic motivational factors for the military men of the different ranks in the military hierarchy as well as for the training Officers of the National army and Guarda Nacional Republicana.
