Abstract(s)
casa/comunidade.
Stroke is considered worldwide as one of the most disabling diseases. The morbidity associated with it can usually be minimized by the benefits arising from rehabilitation. Rehabilitation allows for the enhancement of the cognitive and physical capacities shaken by the event: its impact is evident in the improvement of the quality of life of the person and his family. Given that changes and motor deficits entail great adjustment and adaptation needs, the main focus of this report, integrated in the master's degree in the area of rehabilitation nursing specialization, is based on the motor rehabilitation of the person affected by CVA. Rehabilitation intervention focuses on minimizing physical and cognitive impairments and reducing the limitations caused by these impairments, in an effort to ensure the maximum potential of cognitive and physical capacity: ensuring a better health-related quality of life. Here I register the critical analysis resulting from internships developed in a hospital and community environment where previously outlined and structured activities were developed that made it possible to develop skills identified by the Order of Nurses as common to the Specialist Nurse and specific to the Specialist Nurse in Rehabilitation Nursing. The intervention of the nurse specialist in rehabilitation nursing is fundamental in the multidisciplinary team where, through a holistic approach, it makes it possible to maximize functional capacities in the face of imposed limitations, as well as empower people to perform activities that allow social participation and citizenship. The nurse specialist in rehabilitation nursing is a partner of the user and his family, he accompanies them in moments of uncertainly and effort, and with them guarantees the motivation in their health process. From what was experienced in the internship, it is worth pointing out as an aspect to be targeted for investment in the future, the preparation of the transition from the hospital context to the home/community return.
