Gestão do Conhecimento, Melhoria contínua, diversos
proposto e idealizado logo no início.
This research is part of the Design Management area and intends to develop a Continuous Improvement Model for the management of Small and Medium Enterprises in Portugal. According to statistical data, the success rate of these SMEs is low, so it is intended with this project to prototype a methodology of processes taking place in these organizations, in order to achieve continuous improvement and, consequently, success. Since this is a project to be presented as the conclusion of the Master's in Design Management, several subjects studied throughout it are used here. In part, they are methods on how to manage internal processes taking place in organizations, but also include questions on how to manage people and teams to achieve a common final goal. In addition to the literature review carried out on areas such as Knowledge Management, Continuous Improvement, various Design Thoughts and Future Trends, an empirical case study was carried out using qualitative and quantitative methods. The first exploratory phase, through semi-depth interviews and the second confirmatory phase, an online survey with a structured questionnaire. Both formats were aimed at people who were employed at the time of response. Based on the entire literary review carried out throughout the entire process, and with the collection of empirical data obtained, it was possible to develop a prototype of the Continuous Improvement Model proposed and idealized right from the start. With the use of this model, it will be possible to achieve Continuous Improvement in organizations, through the involvement of different existing Design Thoughts with management methodologies.
