Intervenção do enfermeiro especialista em reabilitação na promoção da capacidade funcional da pessoa pós acidente vascular cerebral

| dc.description.abstract | De acordo com os dados da Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS), o acidente vascular cerebral (AVC) é a segunda principal causa de morte no mundo, sendo a terceira maior causa de incapacidade. Já em Portugal a Direção Geral de Saúde (DGS) considera o AVC a principal causa de morte e incapacidade. O AVC acarreta variadas alterações para a pessoa, em todas as suas dimensões, nomeadamente ao nível da sua capacidade funcional, sendo que esta diminuição implica uma perda da independência na satisfação das suas necessidades humanas fundamentais (NHF). Por isso é crucial a intervenção do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Reabilitação (EEER), na reabilitação funcional da pessoa e na promoção de estratégias adaptativas, com vista à recuperação e independência funcional do individuo. Foram definidos objetivos com a finalidade de desenvolver as competências preconizadas para o EEER, em articulação com os descritores de Dublin para a aquisição do grau de mestre e, também, dar resposta à problemática em estudo, com base na análise e reflexão das atividades desenvolvidas em contexto de estágio, adotando a Teoria das Necessidades Humanas Fundamentais (NHF) de Virgínia Henderson como referencial teórico. Na abordagem à capacidade funcional da pessoa após AVC evidenciaram-se ganhos ao nível do défice neurológico motor, sensitivo e cognitivo, na melhoria da marcha e na satisfação das NHF, culminando na melhoria da capacidade funcional e no aumento da independência da pessoa. O percurso formativo revelou-se potenciador do crescimento pessoal e profissional, com a aquisição e desenvolvimento das competências comuns e especificas do enfermeiro especialista. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | According to the World Health Organization, the Stroke is the second leading cause of mortality in the world, being the third leading cause of incapacity. In Portugal the DGS considers stroke as the main cause of death and incapacity. A stroke entails various changes for the person in all its dimensions, and the decrease in functional capacity implies a loss of independence in meeting their fundamental human necessities. That is why the intervention of the Nurse Specialist in Rehabilitation Nursing is crucial, in the functional rehabilitation of the person and in the promotion of adaptive strategies with the objective of recovery and functional independence of the individual. Objectives were defined with the purpose of developing the recommended competences for the Nurse Specialist in Rehabilitation Nursing, in conjunction with the Dublin descriptors for the acquisition of a master's degree and, also, to respond to the problem under study, based on the analysis and reflection of the activities developed in internship context, adopting Virginia Henderson's Theory of Fundamental Human Necessities as a theoretical framework. In the approach to the person's functional capacity after stroke, there were gains in terms of motor, sensory and cognitive neurological deficit, in the improvement of gait and in the satisfaction of the fundamental human needs, culminating in the increase of the functional independence and improvement of the person's functional capacity. The training course proved to enhance personal and professional growth, with the acquisition and development of common and specific skills of specialist nurses. | pt_PT |
