Abstract(s)
A dificuldade na mobilidade urbana, a par dos efeitos nocivos da emissão para a
atmosfera de dióxido de carbono, estão a mobilizar as sociedades e os governantes do
mundo ocidental. Em resposta, novas formas de mobilidade estão a emergir - a mobilidade
hipocarbónica e a mobilidade sustentável - modificando o conceito de mobilidade urbana.
Neste trabalho abordamos a adaptação da Polícia de Segurança Pública a esta nova
realidade, sob a vertente de utilizador e sob a vertente de fiscalizador rodoviário. Por esta
última vertente, analisamos sucintamente a mobilidade em Portugal, bem como a
sinistralidade rodoviária – com especial enfoque nos utilizadores vulneráveis, de modo a
gizar linhas de orientação futuras.
The difficulty in urban mobility, aside the harmful effects of carbon´s dioxide emissions to the atmosphere, are mobilizing societies and governments in the western world. In response, new forms of mobility are emerging - low-carbon mobility and sustainable mobility – which are modifying the concept of urban mobility. In this work we approached the Public Security Police adaptation to this new reality, under the user view and under the heading of road inspector. In this last aspect, we briefly analyze mobility in Portugal, as well as road accidents - with a special focus on vulnerable users, in order to establish future guidelines.
