  • Reabilitação de edifícios em estrutura metálica danificados por incêndios florestais

    O incêndio em qualquer edifício é um evento de extrema gravidade para a integridade do próprio edifício, bem como para os seus ocupantes. Os acontecimentos ocorridos no ano de 2017, relativamente a incêndios florestais, vieram evidenciar as grandes fragilidades das construções que se situam na Interface Industrial-Florestal, face à eventual ocorrência de um incêndio, designadamente os de estrutura metálica. Nesse sentido, interessa analisar todas as questões inerentes ao processo de reabilitação dos edifícios metálicos que se localizam na Interface Industrial-Florestal, para que a segurança deste tipo de construções seja adequada ao local em que se situam, e não voltem a ceder perante tão agressivos eventos extremos. Nesta dissertação, é feita uma pesquisa sobre acontecimentos de relevância sob o tema dos danos em estruturas metálicas provenientes de incêndios de interface urbano-florestal, uma análise dos métodos de proteção de estruturas metálicas ao fogo e também um estudo sobre os métodos de dimensionamento de estruturas metálicas ao incêndio. O caso de estudo baseia-se num edifício industrial em estrutura metálica, sobre o qual é feito um dimensionamento ao fogo, de acordo com a metodologia estipulada no Eurocódigo 3, parte 1-2. Como conclusões, pretende mostrar-se a importância da proteção passiva na integridade das estruturas metálicas, e mostrar o procedimento de cálculo aplicado a um edifício real.

  • The IT-Development of Accounting in Portugal

    The evolution of IT innovations has a rich history, contributing to and influencing the accounting practice over the years. This is an area of research that gains importance over the years with the exponential growth of technologies facilitating an evolution of how accounting professionals work, and how firms can cut costs and become overall more efficient in their workflow. Although there is an extensive study and works on the history and development of accounting in Portugal, no such work has yet been done on the development and application of IT innovations in financial accounting in Portugal throughout the years. This work contains a literature review that encompasses the broad development in accounting over the years, to facilitate the comprehension of the spectrum of technologies available for accounting services. Through a systematic literature review, extracting information through text and document analysis in works regarding the subject this study aims to discover the number of studies that have been made in Portugal regarding technological development in accounting over the years, how Portugal fairs in technological development when compared with other countries, what is next in technological development in the field of accounting, and if Portugal is already studying these themes.
