- Search for the X(5568) state decaying into $\mathrm{B}^{0}_{\mathrm{s}}\pi^{\pm}$ in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 8 TeVPublication . CMS collaboration (2259 authors); Nayak, Aruna; Bargassa, Pedrame; Beirão Da Cruz E Silva, Cristóvão; Di Francesco, Agostino; Faccioli, Pietro; Galinhas, Bruno; Gallinaro, Michele; Hollar, Jonathan; Leonardo, Nuno; Lloret Iglesias, Lara; Seixas, Joao; Strong, Giles; Toldaiev, Oleksii; Vadruccio, Daniele; Varela, Joao; Vischia, Pietro; David Tinoco Mendes, Andre; Silva, Pedro; Musella, PasqualeA search for resonancelike structures in the Bs0π± invariant mass spectrum is performed using proton-proton collision data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC at s=8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb-1. The Bs0 mesons are reconstructed in the decay chain Bs0→J/ψϕ, with J/ψ→μ+μ- and ϕ→K+K-. The Bs0π± invariant mass distribution shows no statistically significant peaks for different selection requirements on the reconstructed Bs0 and π± candidates. Upper limits are set on the relative production rates of the X(5568) and Bs0 states times the branching fraction of the decay X(5568)±→Bs0π±. In addition, upper limits are obtained as a function of the mass and the natural width of possible exotic states decaying into Bs0π±.
- Search for a Structure in the $B^0_s \pi^\pm$ Invariant Mass Spectrum with the ATLAS ExperimentPublication . ATLAS collaboration (2887 authors); Aguilar-Saavedra, Juan Antonio; Amor Dos Santos, Susana Patricia; Anjos, Nuno; Araque, Juan Pedro; Castro, Nuno Filipe; Conde Mui\~no, Patricia; Da Cunha Sargedas De Sousa, Mario Jose; Fiolhais, Miguel; Galhardo, Bruno; Gomes, Agostinho; Gon\c calo, Ricardo; Jorge, Pedro; Machado Miguens, Joana; Maio, Am\'elia; Maneira, Jos\'e; Oleiro Seabra, Luis Filipe; Onofre, Ant\'onio; Pedro, Rute; Santos, Helena; Saraiva, Jo\~ao; Silva, Jos\'e; Tavares Delgado, Ademar; Veloso, Filipe; Wolters, HelmutA search for the narrow structure, X(5568), reported by the D0 Collaboration in the decay sequence X→Bs0π±, Bs0→J/ψϕ, is presented. The analysis is based on a data sample recorded with the ATLAS detector at the LHC corresponding to 4.9 fb-1 of pp collisions at 7 TeV and 19.5 fb-1 at 8 TeV. No significant signal was found. Upper limits on the number of signal events, with properties corresponding to those reported by D0, and on the X production rate relative to Bs0 mesons, ρX, were determined at 95% confidence level. The results are N(X)<382 and ρX<0.015 for Bs0 mesons with transverse momenta above 10 GeV, and N(X)<356 and ρX<0.016 for transverse momenta above 15 GeV. Limits are also set for potential Bs0π± resonances in the mass range 5550 to 5700 MeV.
