- $^{83\textrm{m}}$Kr calibration of the 2013 LUX dark matter searchPublication . LUX collaboration (93 authors); Brás, P.; Lindote, A.; Lopes, M.I.; Neves, F.; Silva, C.; Solovov, V.N.LUX was the first dark matter experiment to use a Kr83m calibration source. In this paper, we describe the source preparation and injection. We also present several Kr83m calibration applications in the context of the 2013 LUX exposure, including the measurement of temporal and spatial variation in scintillation and charge signal amplitudes, and several methods to understand the electric field within the time projection chamber.
- Search for squarks and gluinos in events with an isolated lepton, jets, and missing transverse momentum at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ATLAS detectorPublication . ATLAS collaboration (2874 authors); Aguilar-Saavedra, Juan Antonio; Amor Dos Santos, Susana Patricia; Anjos, Nuno; Araque, Juan Pedro; Carvalho, João; Castro, Nuno Filipe; Conde Muiño, Patricia; Da Cunha Sargedas De Sousa, Mario Jose; Fiolhais, Miguel; Galhardo, Bruno; Gomes, Agostinho; Gonçalo, Ricardo; Jorge, Pedro; Machado Miguens, Joana; Maio, Amélia; Maneira, José; Oleiro Seabra, Luis Filipe; Onofre, António; Pedro, Rute; Santos, Helena; Saraiva, João; Silva, José; Tavares Delgado, Ademar; Veloso, Filipe; Wolters, HelmutThe results of a search for squarks and gluinos in final states with an isolated electron or muon, multiple jets and large missing transverse momentum using proton-proton collision data at a center-of-mass energy of s=13 TeV are presented. The data set used was recorded during 2015 and 2016 by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 36.1 fb-1. No significant excess beyond the expected background is found. Exclusion limits at 95% confidence level are set in a number of supersymmetric scenarios, reaching masses up to 2.1 TeV for gluino pair production and up to 1.25 TeV for squark pair production.
