- Azimuthal decorrelation of jets widely separated in rapidity in pp collisions at $ \sqrt{s}=7 $ TeVPublication . CMS collaboration (2311 authors); Hollar, Jonathan; Calpas, Betty; Nayak, Aruna; Bargassa, Pedrame; Beirão Da Cruz E Silva, Cristóvão; Di Francesco, Agostino; Faccioli, Pietro; Ferreira Parracho, Pedro Guilherme; Gallinaro, Michele; Leonardo, Nuno; Lloret Iglesias, Lara; Nguyen, Federico; Rodrigues Antunes, Joao; Seixas, Joao; Toldaiev, Oleksii; Vadruccio, Daniele; Varela, Joao; Vischia, Pietro; David Tinoco Mendes, Andre; Silva, Pedro; Musella, Pasquale; Pela, JoaoThe decorrelation in the azimuthal angle between the most forward and the most backward jets (Mueller-Navelet jets) is measured in data collected in pp collisions with the CMS detector at the LHC at $ \sqrt{s}=7 $ TeV. The measurement is presented in the form of distributions of azimuthal-angle differences, Δϕ, between the Mueller-Navelet jets, the average cosines of (π − Δϕ), 2(π − Δϕ), and 3(π − Δϕ), and ratios of these cosines. The jets are required to have transverse momenta, p$_{T}$, in excess of 35 GeV and rapidities, |y|, of less than 4.7. The results are presented as a function of the rapidity separation, Δy, between the Mueller-Navelet jets, reaching Δy up to 9.4 for the first time. The results are compared to predictions of various Monte Carlo event generators and to analytical predictions based on the DGLAP and BFKL parton evolution schemes.
- Measurement of the CP-violating phase $\phi_s$ and the $B^0_s$ meson decay width difference with $B^0_s \to J/\psi\phi$ decays in ATLASPublication . ATLAS collaboration (2857 authors); Aguilar-Saavedra, Juan Antonio; Amor Dos Santos, Susana Patricia; Anjos, Nuno; Araque, Juan Pedro; Cantrill, Robert; Carvalho, João; Castro, Nuno Filipe; Conde Muiño, Patricia; Da Cunha Sargedas De Sousa, Mario Jose; Fiolhais, Miguel; Galhardo, Bruno; Gomes, Agostinho; Gonçalo, Ricardo; Jorge, Pedro; Lopes, Lourenco; Machado Miguens, Joana; Maio, Amélia; Maneira, José; Onofre, António; Palma, Alberto; Pedro, Rute; Pina, João Antonio; Pinto, Belmiro; Santos, Helena; Saraiva, João; Silva, José; Tavares Delgado, Ademar; Veloso, Filipe; Wolters, HelmutA measurement of the B$_{s}^{0}$ decay parameters in the B$_{s}^{0}$ → J/ψϕ channel using an integrated luminosity of 14.3 fb$^{−1}$ collected by the ATLAS detector from 8 TeV pp collisions at the LHC is presented. The measured parameters include the CP -violating phase ϕ$_{s}$ , the decay width Γ$_{s}$ and the width difference between the mass eigenstates ΔΓ$_{s}$ . The values measured for the physical parameters are statistically combined with those from 4.9 fb$^{−1}$ of 7 TeV data, leading to the following: $ \begin{array}{l}{\phi}_s=-0.090\pm 0.078\left(\mathrm{stat}.\right)\pm 0.041\left(\mathrm{syst}.\right)\mathrm{rad}\\ {}\varDelta {\varGamma}_s=0.085\pm 0.011\left(\mathrm{stat}.\right)\pm 0.007\left(\mathrm{syst}.\right){\mathrm{ps}}^{-1}\\ {}{\varGamma}_s=0.675\pm 0.003\left(\mathrm{stat}.\right)\pm 0.003\left(\mathrm{syst}.\right){\mathrm{ps}}^{-1}.\end{array} $
