- Emerging Technologies to Promote Fans Interaction in Football Events: A Systematic ReviewPublication . Martins, Francisco; França, Cíntia; Paixão, Pedro; Martinho, Diogo V.; Campos, Pedro; Gouveia, Bruna R.; Lopes, Hélder; Ihle, Andreas; Marques, Eduardo; Gouveia, Élvio Rúbio; Gouveia, BrunaAs the digital revolution continues to take hold in contemporary society, new technology and communications networks have provided football with new possibilities and prospects for expansion. This study provides an assessment of the published research regarding innovative digital tools designed to increase the interactivity of fans when watching a football match, regardless of whether they do it at home or at the stadium. A systematic review of the literature was performed, following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guideline. The search was conducted in the PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus databases. The final sample included eleven studies for analysis. Overall, the investigations that structure this review seem to be in the early stages of their development, with eight of them making tests with the target audience and the other three still in protocol development processes. Six studies concluded that fans had positive and exciting experiences using mobile applications or interactive systems. Two studies showed promising results in the area of football fans’ health, and only one study showed some difficulties for fans using an ad hoc network in the stadium. Adding personal information, fan interaction systems, specific information about the players and the teams’ tactical strategies, and interactive fan voting seem to be important elements for designing a successful interactive tool that contributes to increasing fans’ enthusiasm during football matches.
- Factors influencing individualized nursing care in acute medical and perioperative settings: A scoping reviewPublication . Ramos, Ana; Sá, Eunice; Pombo, Delmira; Sá, Florinda; Ramos, Filipe; Bernardo, Fernanda; Mira, Helena; Lopes, Hélder; Marcão, Regina; Gomes, IdalinaIndividualized nursing care addresses the needs, experiences, behaviors, feelings, and perceptions of patients and families, but its implementation in clinical practice contexts remains challenging. This review aims to map the factors that interfere with the individualization of nursing care, in acute medical and perioperative settings. Scoping review was conducted according to the Joanna Briggs Institute guidelines. The MEDLINE, CINAHL, Cochrane, SciELO, Scientific Repository of Open Access, and LILACS databases were searched for publications from January 2017 up to March 2023. Of the 124 articles selected, 17 met the inclusion criteria. The individualization of nursing care is complex and shaped by multiple variables in the care environment, nursing, and patient characteristics. The institutional organization, the nurses’ expertise, and the patient’s attributes were identified as variables that interfere with the individualization of nursing care. Individualized nursing care is responsible for better quality of care and health outcomes. The identification of the variables that affect individualized care contributes to planning programs to improve individualization, during hospitalization and the discharge.
- Relationship between of coaches’ expectations with instruction and behavior of athletes in footballPublication . Santos, Fernando Jorge Lourenço Dos; Louro, Hugo Gonçalo; Espada, Mário; Figueiredo, Teresa; Lopes, Hélder; Rodrigues, JoséThis study aims to identify the expectations of the coaches on the instruction and behavior of athletes. The second objective is to correlate the expectations of the coaches with the instruction behavior of coaches and with the behavior of athletes in competition. Aiming to achieve these purpose four coaches of youth soccer teams that competed in the national championships in Portugal were studied. We applied observation systems SAIC and SOCAC to encode behaviors of coach's instruction and the behavior of athletes in competition, respectively. To data collection on expectations, the coaches responded to the Questionnaire about Expectations of Instruction and Behavior of Athletes in Competition. The results show that there is short relation between the coach's expectations and what actually happens in competition regarding the instruction behavior and the behavior of athletes.
