Abstract(s)
Neste contexto a aluna acompanhou
acompanhou vinte e cinco procedimentos cirúrgicos e noventa e nove exames
complementares de diagnóstico. O assunto abordado neste relatório surge no
A doença inflamatória
A terapêutica aplicada
This report was prepared to describe the activities during the final curricular internship of the degree in Veterinary Nursing, which took place in the veterinary clinic Animax in Badajoz, Spain, and lasted for three months. During this period, the student had the opportunity to accompany several animals and carried out different tasks in the different areas of a veterinary clinic, such as consultations, diagnostic tests, hospitalization and surgery. In this context, the student accompanied a total of five hundred twenty-eight animals, in prophylactic, revision and general consultations, also including in this group the consultations for admission to surgery. She also accompanied twenty-five surgical procedures and ninety-nine complementary diagnosis exams. The theme of this report follows the monitoring of an animal since the beginning of the curricular internship that presented chronic vomiting and diarrhoea. Several complementary examinations were performed for the diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease. A correct diagnosis is the basis for applying an appropriate therapy, and it is extremely important to carry out complementary diagnostic tests with the required and appropriate techniques so that the data obtained are not ambiguous. Inflammatory bowel disease is a chronic idiopathic enteropathy that causes disorders in the gastrointestinal tract in dogs, it is manifests clinically as intermittent vomiting and diarrhoea. It is through histopathological analysis that enteropathy is diagnosed, and the therapy applied in these animals is based on diet, immunosuppressive drugs, corticosteroids and antibiotics.
