Abstract(s)

Objetivo: Envelhecer é um desafio coletivo e individual. Assim, as respostas educacionais no campo da saúde e da Enfermagem necessitam de ser efetivas, na medida em que a grande maioria dos licenciados prestará cuidados a pessoas idosas e muito idosas. Este artigo tem como finalidade apresentar uma proposta de Matriz Referencial para a Educação em Enfermagem na pessoa ao envelhecer, resultado de uma Tese de Doutoramento em Enfermagem. Metodologia: estudo de natureza qualitativa e analítica e cujo percurso metodológico contemplou três fases sequenciais e complementares - investigação documental, questionário e entrevistas. Resultados: elaborou-se uma Matriz referencial (dinâmica, transversal, ascendente e multidimensional), enformada por elementos (generalizações simbólicas, modelos, valores e exemplos) integrados em dimensões (a pessoa ao envelhecer, cuidar em Enfermagem, aprender Enfermagem e contextos de aprender e de cuidar). Conclusões: Não sendo um fim em si mesma, pretende-se que a proposta de matriz referencial seja útil a diferentes atores com diferentes propósitos, permitindo o desenvolvimento do conhecimento da Enfermagem do envelhecer.

Objective: Aging is a collective and individual challenge. Thus, educational responses in the field of health and nursing need to be effective, as the vast majority of graduates will provide care for the elderly and the elderly. This article aims to present a proposal of a Reference Matrix for Nursing Education in the person when aging, the result of a PhD Thesis in Nursing. Methodology: a qualitative and analytical study whose methodological path covered three sequential and complementary phases - documentary research, questionnaire and interviews. Results: a reference matrix (dynamic, transversal, ascending and multidimensional) was elaborated, made up of elements (symbolic generalizations, models, values and examples) integrated in dimensions (the person when aging, nursing care, learning Nursing and learning contexts and caring). Conclusions: Not being an end in itself, it is intended that the referential matrix proposal be useful to different actors with different purposes, allowing the development of Nursing knowledge of aging.
