| dc.description.abstract | Introdução: A afasia de Broca, uma afasia não fluente, é uma condição frustrante com extenso impacto psicológico, familiar e social. Os relatos das pessoas que já recuperaram ou já se conseguem expressar são essenciais para aumentar o conhecimento sobre a experiência de viver com a afasia de Broca. A-FROM é uma estrutura concebida para organizar o pensamento sobre o impacto de viver com afasia e inclui quatro domínios-chave: Ambiente de comunicação e linguagem; Linguagem e deficiências relacionadas; Identidade pessoal, atitudes e sentimentos, e Participação em situações da vida. A intervenção de enfermagem é central para otimizar a recuperação e influenciar positivamente a experiência de viver com sucesso com esta condição clínica. Objetivo: Mapear a evidência científica sobre a experiência das pessoas que viveram um período de afasia de Broca. Métodos: Foi realizada uma Scoping Review seguindo a metodologia do Instituto Joanna Briggs. A revisão foi baseada na pergunta de investigação: "Como é que a pessoa relata a experiência de ter vivido um período de afasia de Broca?", formulada de acordo com a estratégia PCC. A pesquisa foi realizada nas bases de dados eletrónicas MEDLINE®, CINAHL®, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection e Scopus em Novembro de 2022. Os artigos foram selecionados com base nos critérios de elegibilidade. A revisão seguiu a lista de verificação PRISMA-ScR EQUATOR. Resultados: Dezassete artigos publicados entre 1961 e 2022 foram incluídos. Os dados obtidos foram agrupados de acordo com os domínios-chave da ferramenta A-FROM. As informações relacionadas com Identidade pessoal, atitudes e sentimentos, e Participação em situações da vida foram as mais citadas, seguidas por Linguagem e deficiências relacionadas e Ambiente de comunicação e linguagem. Conclusão: Profissionais de saúde, intervenções terapêuticas, espiritualidade, esperança, contexto, interações e fatores psicossociais influenciam a experiência da afasia de Broca. É essencial continuar a investigar como as pessoas relatam a experiência de terem vivido um período de afasia de Broca para melhorar a qualidade dos cuidados e a qualidade de vida das pessoas. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Introduction Broca’s aphasia, a non-fluent aphasia, is a frustrating condition with extensive psychological, familial, and social impact. The reports of people who have already recovered or can express themselves are essential to increasing knowledge about the experience of living with Broca’s aphasia. A-FROM is a framework designed to organize thinking about the impact of living with aphasia and includes four key domains: Communication and language environment;Language and related impairments; Personal identity, attitudes and feelings, and Participation in life situations. Nursing intervention is central to optimizing recovery and positively influencing the experience of successfully living with this clinical condition.ObjectiveTo map scientific evidence about the experience of people who lived through a period of Broca’s aphasia.MethodsA Scoping Review was performed following the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology. The review was based on the research question, "How does the person report the experience of having lived through a period of Broca’s aphasia?", formulated according to the PCC strategy. The search was carried out in MEDLINE®, CINAHL®, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, and Scopuselectronic databases in November 2022. Articles were selected based on the eligibility criteria. The review followed the PRISMA-ScR EQUATOR checklist.ResultsSeventeen articles published between 1961 and 2022 were included. Data obtained were grouped according to the key domains of the A-FROM tool.Information related to Personal identity, attitudes and feelings, and Participation in life situationswere the most cited, followed by Language and related impairmentsand Communication and language environment.ConclusionIt was identified that health professionals, therapeutic interventions, spirituality, hope, context, interactions, and psychosocial factors influence the experience of Broca’s aphasia. It is essential to continue investigating how people report the experience of having lived through a period of Broca’s aphasia to improve the quality of care and people's quality of life. | pt_PT |
