Abstract(s)
Num ambiente de informação digital disponível via Web, em que os mecanismos de aprendizagem e investigação passam cada vez mais por processos informais baseados tanto em sistemas de elearning como nas ferramentas de Web social, as competências ligadas à pesquisa e uso adequado da informação são hoje um dos pontos essenciais para o sucesso académico e para a investigação.
Torna-se visível, neste contexto, o papel inquestionável das bibliotecas de ensino superior que terão de explorar estes sistemas e ferramentas de uma forma eficaz para conseguirem criar serviços de valor acrescentado aos processos de ensino-aprendizagem e da investigação. É fundamental tornar acessíveis a biblioteca e os seus recursos onde e quando são necessários, através de ferramentas e serviços adequados.
Nesta comunicação temos como propósito, num primeiro momento, apresentar as áreas de intervenção das bibliotecas de ensino superior no que diz respeito à literacia informacional no contexto da aprendizagem e investigação, ligada às tecnologias emergentes e da Web 2.0, abordando o caso das Bibliotecas da Universidade de Aveiro (UA), descrevendo a sua intervenção ao nível do apoio ao utilizador, seja ele estudante ou investigador, na área das ciências da saúde.
Serão, neste sentido, partilhados alguns exemplos de projetos desenvolvidos nas Bibliotecas da UA entre 2009 e 2011, que resultam de uma estratégia integrada de ação na área dos serviços de apoio ao utilizador.
In an environment of digital information available through the Web where the mechanisms of learning and research are increasingly more informal processes based both on elearning systems and social Web tools, the skills related to research and appropriate use of information are now one of the key points for academic success and research work. It becomes evident, in this context, the unquestionable role of the academic Libraries, which will have to explore these systems and tools in an effective way to create value-added services to the teaching, learning and research processes. It’s essential to make available the library’s resources, where and when they are needed, through appropriate tools and services. The purpose of this communication is to approach the fields of action of the University Libraries regarding the literacy of information related to emerging technologies and Web 2.0, through the case of Aveiro University Libraries (UA) describing its intervention in terms of user support in health sciences. In this communication We will present some examples of projects developed in the UA Libraries between 2009 and 2011 as the result of an integrated strategic action in our user support services.
