| dc.description.abstract | The blackspot seabream, Pagellus bogaraveo (Brünnich, 1768), is a protandric hermaphrodite with delimited gonads. Most individuals are first functional males and then develop into functional females. The macroscopic assignment of maturity stages is fundamental for acknowledging the temporal evolution of the species’ reproductive cycle. This document includes the illustrated description of blackspot seabream male and female maturity stages, which is intended to serve as practical support, in the field and in the laboratory, for biology and ecology work. | eng |
| dc.description.abstract | O goraz, Pagellus bogaraveo (Brünnich, 1768), é um hermafrodita protândrico com gónadas delimitadas. A maioria dos indivíduos são inicialmente machos funcionais que depois evoluem para fêmeas funcionais. A atribuição macroscópica de estados de maturação é fundamental para compreender a evolução temporal do ciclo reprodutivo da espécie. Neste documento inclui-se uma descrição ilustrada dos estados de maturação de machos e fêmeas de goraz que se pretende que sirva como suporte prático, no campo e no laboratório, para trabalhos de biologia e ecologia. | por |
