Los polígonos de vivienda social en la ciudad de Vigo en la segunda mitad del siglo XX : los casos de Coya y Navia

| dc.description.abstract | El objetivo de esta disertaciones es comprender cómo los Polígonos de Vivienda Social construidos en la Ciudad de Vigo en la segunda mitad del siglo XX afectaron al modelo de crecimiento urbano. Para alcanzar este objetivo se analizan, de forma comparativa, los dos Polígonos de mayor extensión de ese periodo. En España, la revolución económica llega a mediados de los años 50. El “Plan de Desarrollo”, de 1959, convierte los centros industriales en focos de atracción de mano de obra, que se trasladan del campo a la ciudad. Vigo es uno de esos focos industriales, y como consecuencia, va a sufrir fuertes carencias de vivienda social en las décadas siguientes. El estudio de los Polígonos de Vivienda Social de Coya y de Navia esta basado en el análisis de los sistemas de ocupación del territorio de la periferia urbana mediante la expropiación, en el análisis de un nuevo concepto de urbanización con grandes edificios en altura y una planificación urbana común referida a los principios de parcelación, urbanización y edificación. El Polígono de Coya (Vigo-1963) nace con la intención de satisfacer las nuevas necesidades con una formula hasta ese momento desconocida en la ciudad. La repetición de los ciclos económicos, hace que una vez superados los problemas de los años 60, y ya con base en el Plan General de Ordenación Urbana de 1972, la administración local concibe la expansión del Polígono de Coya en el año 1975. Pero, no es hasta el año 1996, con el Polígono de Navia, cuando se repite la solución aplicada en el Polígono de Coya. Los Polígonos de Vivienda Social de Coya y Navia tienen los mismos sistemas de ocupación de la periferia urbana en la ciudad de Vigo y son generadores de ciudad. Las actuaciones de Vivienda Social, en la segunda mitad de del siglo XX, en Vigo, influyen en las formas de crecimiento de la ciudad. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this dissertation work is to understand the way that the Social Housing Poligons, constructed in Vigo in the second half of XX century, affected to the urban growth. In order to achieve this goal, both major Polygons of this period are analysed comparatively to obtain the aim. In Spain, the economical revolution arrived at the 50th,s. In 1959, the “Plan de Desarrollo” turned the industrial centres of the cities into areas of attraction of workforce, leaved the rural tows and moved into the cities. Vigo is one of these industrial areas and since consequence is going to experiment big lacks of social housing. The study of the Coya and Navia Polygons is based on the analysis of the occupation systems of the territory of the urban periphery by expropriation means, and on the analysis of a new concept of urbanization with big buildings in height and a common town planning referred to the beginning of plot, urbanization and building. Coya's Polygon (Vigo-1963) was born with the intention of covering the new needs with a formula up to this moment unknown in the city. The repetition of the economic cycles does that, once solved the problems at the 60th and already with the base of the General Plan of Urban Arrangement of 1972, the municipal administration raises future extensions in the year 1975. It was not until the year 1996 with Navia's Polygon, when the solution applied in Coya's Polygon repeats itself. The Polygons of Social Housing in Coya and Navia have common action´s strategies for occupy the urban periphery at Vigo city, and they generate the city. The systems of social housing, in the second half of 20th century, in Vigo, influence in the city forms of growth. | por |
