Abstract(s)
This monograph describes the author’s curricular internship in a plastics injection company. The
internship was based on the author's passage through the Quality department.
The internship aimed to obtain a deeper knowledge of the Plastics Injection industry, which is very
relevant in the area of Marinha Grande, as well as the culture, working methods, philosophy and
theoretical tools applied in real context.
The internship took place in the quality department, with the, focusing on the management of the
Quality Wall. His management was carried out dynamically between the department of quality,
logistics and production, where a harmony between the three departments was necessary.
Beyond passing through the quality department, during the internship there was also an workshop
about standard work and line design, where problems and improvement opportunities were
identified, mainly in the production line 2 of the factory, in which improvements were made at the
level of workstations and all his inherent elements, achieving satisfactory results, in terms of
organization of the workstations itself, cycle time and results in financial terms.
It was a very productive stage, which allowed to obtain a wide knowledge of various sectors of the
company, providing a very rich experience in this industrial aspect, enhancing an easy future
introduction in the labour market.
